Three variants... I recall talk of a straight spine, a LW/FRN, and this choil-less. Those would be my guess. Maybe the FRN/LW will come with some magnacut?

A tough working knife and a tough steel go hand in hand. Magna Cut or LC200N would be great new candidates. Any thoughts on a “Salt” shaman? Ti scales?

Count me in any Shaman with scales other than with G-10.

I have Cruwear, S30V, S90V, M4 and Rex45. That is a pretty good variety. I’m bummed that I missed the 4V.

The two that are in my carry rotation are serrated S30V and Crucarta.

I would be interested in one in K390/10V.

Having the main Shaman version and three of its variants, I’m excitedly curious about a choil-less version (see:

I'll float the idea of a CBBL Shaman again.

I use mine day in and day out. I think if I threw one choil-less variant in I would nip myself all the time. Pretty happy with the design the way it is. If I could make a change it would be a thinner blade stock and BTE variant for magnacut. That steel is capable of supporting a real slicer edge.

Yeah, you gotta watch your muscle-memory switching between choil and choil-less, especially if no guard is built into the handle.

The Caribbean, Lil’Temp3, and Rock Jumper give me hope that a decent guard will be had on the choil-less Shaman.

And, who knows, in giving back to the edge what the choil had taken away, Sal may see merit in moving the thickness behind the edge higher on the blade for added sliciness. .

But, oh, I think the current blade is pretty much perfect. My Cruwear one is quite a slicer for such a brutish design.

Seconding the damasteel request, as ludicrous as that would be, I’d love to see it.

The shaman is my favorite model, period…so any variant is going to excite me.

K390 + denim micarta would be amazing. I feel like k390s patina would be beautiful with that combo

On the flipside, an entirely stainless lc200n or maggie would also be killer. Many outdoor situations that the shaman lends itself to are wet and gnarly…so a truly stainless variant would be really useful.
Crucarta: Shaman (x2), Manix 2, Lil Native, Delica, GB2 & PM2
Notable: 52100 and Cruwear Millie. “15v-arta” Shaman. REC Manix. K-carta Endura, P4, Dragonfly and Delica.
Favorites: Shaman, Sage 5 lightweight, Sheeps Caribbean, Manix, Endela and all things Stretch

The Shaman’s blade would be great for Damasteel, there is ample real estate to showcase the pattern. But it would price above my cringe level so I’d be out. I’d like an M4 blade without the “jade” G10. Polished CF probably looks amazing, but that does things to the price I don’t like…

Most of those people I would guess think the blade is too thick, or they don't like the nub from the choil hitting with their wittle finger when it closes (which is easily fixed with muscle memory when using a Shaman)

A Damasteel Fluted CF would be on my list!

And it still wouldn’t be the most expensive knife Spyderco makes!
