Great color! This is caused by light or scales dyeing?

I would say, a bit of both. But the major part is due to dyeing.
You can see nearly the same picture a few posts later but that time without direct sunlight.

Holy moly! -9. You need to move South. 😄. We have chance of snow tomorrow and the grocery stores are selling out. We may get a few inches.

I have to say that I really don’t miss those mornings! The worst were those temps combined with 2 feet of lake effect snow! The heat and humidity can be oppressive at times down here, but I don’t have to shovel it!

That's right, I forgot you mentioned before that used to live or work in the area in the past! Over this weekend, according to the map, our area is expected anywhere from 3-7" or 7-12" of snow over the weekend with temperatures staying around 0 or below.

I don't know if you follow the NFL, but there's a playoff game in Buffalo tonight...right off the lake. I wonder if they would consider postponing it, it will literally be dangerous for the fans to sit in that weather tonight, especially if there's high winds.

I used to follow the NFL, not so much anymore. But I will channel the late John Madden and say that’s real football. Mud, blood, rain, or snow. Buffalo natives probably think it just a little chilly outside. :rofl

The REX 45 PM2 is still on box cutting duty at home but the Stretch 2 is being a pocket hog lately. I have to admit that K390 is probably my overall favorite of the high alloy tool steels.
