Anybody that this is their first Chief or first knife in 4V...you're in for a real treat!!

$900! ouch! I spent a bunch (close to $600) on my AR (new irons, new handguard, spare parts, tool for changing the barrel nut, ammo...). Spent $250 yesterday on more mags for the AR and my pistol and more ammo...and now the Chief today. I'm glad my wife doesn't ask how much these things cost. She already accused me of wanting to supply an army with ammo...

My wife finally looked into CRK's after I've been talking about them a lot...she wasn't very happy with what she saw when it came to pricing. I've got a few knives for sale though to help reduce that impact, as well as a great review at work with one of my better raises I've ever received. I also told her, doing a dry January I'm also saving a lot of money haha (grasping at any little thing I can to remove that look of disgust from her face)

CRKs! Yea...not my thing but I have 3 Hinderers so... She doesn't care as long as we have money in the bank, bills paid, food on the table. She actually told me to buy myself some stuff since I bought her things she wanted (a Cricut so she can make things lol), of course bought the kiddo a bunch of stuff over the holiday...it was time for daddy to treat himself.

What's bad is that I was in Knoxville this week for work. Went to Smoky Mountain Knife Works and...didn't buy a thing. There was so much I was just overwhelmed. I did want to get an Ontario Bushcraft Woodsman, but I didn't because I just don't need that big a fixed blade...Sog Seal XR was cool but $190 for a Sog? With FRN scales? Yea, USA made, it was a sweet knife, but Sog just got bought by GSM, and my Shaman, Adamas, AD10, 4 Max Scout, XM-24 all fill that big, overbuilt folder niche for me. Maybe if I can find a used Seal XR for a decent price I may bite but...not for near $200.

I selected to have it shipped when I bought too. Just called to see if I could drop by the Athens store this evening and pick it up, but it sounds like they are printing labels and getting them ready to ship right now. Oh well, shouldn't take too long to arrive I guess.
