I’ll buy anything fluted! The Chief would be a great addition.

I'm 100% in for a fluted Ti Native Chief -- and a fluted Ti Native if I can find one...

I don't believe in metal handles, but I'd still buy one for the collection.
I certainly believe in them but do not especially like them. But on a Chief I would make an exception. Bring it on.

I'm definitely not saying I wouldn't be interested in a fluted carbon fiber Chief as well, I was just drooling over the titanium Native 5 and figured it would be that much nicer with a bigger handle.

This might be a good time to bring back the Renegade and Blackhawk edition of the Fluted Ti Chief and Native 5! A CQI Fluted Ti Millie would be nice too.

My preference is for new models, but I can be swayed, as here.

Great pics! The fluted N5 certainly is a looker and crowd pleaser.

I'd like to see a Ti Fluted Native Chief too. I was fortunate and bought 2 Ti fluted Millies (about $220 IIRC), and one Ti native 5. I don't use the Native 5. It seems to me that in today's market those prices would be ridiculously cheap. I just couldn't see any of them behind sold now without at least a 3 at the front of the price tag. They are great knives but I think would be quite pricey to produce now. I'm not sure people would line up to pay the price.

I would pay $400, maybe even $450 for one. With the crazy taxes that's not too bad where I live.
I am thinking about buying a ZT 0640 right now, but I would rather spend that money on a fluted Ti Chief for example.

Like ten years ago the Fluted Ti Native and Fluted Ti Military had MSRPs of $399. A fluted Ti Chief is definitely gonna have a street price of $300 or more. I am still a buyer.

There is a trend here of folks asking for things and everybody saying they would buy it only to have most get sticker shock and then be unwilling to purchase. Let’s just be honest about what this would cost.

Yeah definitely not for everyone but I wouldn't think it would be at any price. I see this particular knife as being every bit as good as any of the other "high end" models like the Nirvana, so it definitely sits in a higher price bracket and that's not for everyone.

Does this mean that this ti military is not discontinued? I do not see it offered in the 2021 catalog.

I see some models as discontinued and the website will say so.

I believe it was discontinued right after the CQI upgrade.

If fluted is a possibility, plain titanium should be an easier possibility. I would spend the money I'm setting aside for a potential CRK buy on a Chief in plain titanium. I'd rather spend my limited "upmarket" money with Spyderco than with Chris' kid.

For what it's worth, Tim & Anne seem to be doing a really good job running CRK...

I do wish Spyderco would do more blasted TI - i.e. Mantra, Swayback, Slysz Bowie, Techno, Chef.
So it goes.
