Hi :spyder: afficiados

A comment in an earlier thread make me think. How many of you 'serious' collectors also collect the catalogues and pamphlets from Spyderco. Anybody ever done a list on what was produced the way that was done for knives. Any opinions on the possible worth of these should they be in pristine condition? Kinda like collecting comic books and putting them away in zip-lock plastic bags!

I have quite a few catalogs. 2005 till 2000 dealer & consumer, 1997 dealer, 1998/1997 consumer, two Ironstones and some older ones photocopied by Joyce. I would like the original ones, but will not pay top dollar for them. For now I'm hoping that Spyderco will allow me to scan them and host them. Waiting to hear from Joyce on that.
I think the first catalogs in excellent condition would be worth something, but not like a #1 Spiderman or Superman comic
And, it's hard enough even figuring out what catalogs are out there. I've started two threads about that in the last years, but never got to the bottom of it.

I'm gonna dig around and see what I can find, but most of them are probably not in very good condition. I would much prefer a Spydie 'comic' collection to a Spiderman collection!

Never thought about this, if I had I probably would have had a really nice set by now! :D

I have about 20 Spyderco catalogs and growing. I have 7 dealer's catalogs and I don't know how many of the little consumer catalogs I have but there are a lot of them strown throughout my personal affects. I would love to have more of the. I am right now trying to find a 1999 Dealer's catalog. IF anyone can steer me as to where to get them I would be appreciative. JD :spyder: O

JD Spydo, I don't think that the 1999 dealer catalog exists. Several here have been looking for that one.

Do you have more catalogs then the pics I've listed in the other two threads I reference here? :)

Great links Ted! I really appreciate all the info on your Spydie Site, thanks for keeping that up.

I enjoy looking through the older catalogs, I don't really collect them to be safe Queens but more as reference material. I have some duplicates but I am missing the 2000 & 2002 catalogs. If anyone has an extra please shoot me an email or PM me here.

think we have come to the general concensus that there is no '99 books.
