Well, the ancient sources say 60 to 100 meters (65 to 110 yards), but if true, then for the larger ones I guess. And for being still really effective as a weapon probably shorter.

I am certainly not on your level, but when comparing to others throwing a frisbee really far has always been a strength of mine.
Perhaps l´ll just try and let you know (so far I´ve just been in the woods with the Chakram. Trees in the way and hard to find when tossing it far away).

Don´t know if you ever tried one of that Aerobies (modern throwing ring https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aerobie) - it is unbelievable how far they can be tossed, actually the world record for the longest throw with an (any!) object was done with one of those (1,333 feet (406 meters))
Sure, the Chakram is by far not that good (originally meant as a weapon much heavier), but still not bad.

Chakrams are so easy to just have in the pack when hiking around, and for me more about having fun in the woods - alone or with friends. Powershots into dead trees, doing trick shots with the more than one Chakram in the hand and so on. The "ancient historic (warfare) vibe" is the icing on the cake...

Here two vids (of that a bit hypermanic Czech guy), though mostly over- and underhand so not in the most used Frisbee techniques

1 showing some tricks (featuring even a skateboard... :smirk ), https://youtu.be/bApY7JeEtXE

2 Showing some ways how to throw out of that old manuscripts. https://youtu.be/xRck2DS2o_U

/ END of off topic, I promise!!!

Cool videos, but no the heck thank you. My wife has sowed me up in the Kitchen multiple times, but she would quit on me if I ever brought something like that home. I will stick to disc golf.

Multiple Monday. I didn't even no it. I rarely rarely carry multiples, but today I stuck my Endura in my back pocket to sharpen later, so it tagged along with my Endela.

This guy came in today. Will be interesting to see how it does next to my Maxamet PM2. As I recall, they are in the same ballpark for hardness, but REX 45 has lower carbide volume. Gonna thin the edge out soon and then I will see how it behaves.

You're a machine with sharpening, I love it! I'm sure you already plan on it, but please post your findings in the "community sharpening journal" thread. Rex45 along with 4V are my personal favorites, so I like seeing how others sharpen theirs and hear their findings. I know you sharpen very well too, so I'm looking forward to it!

Planning to report back eventually. Someday I'd also like to get some 4V, surprisingly it is one of the steels I have never had.

Never been called a "machine with sharpening" before! I think I'm mostly a guy with ample spare time and fancy diamond stones.

Either later tonight or tomorrow morning I'm gonna get the stones out and put the REX 45 to it. Will be my last opportunities before a load of overtime comes my way so just kinda have to get to it.
