I had the largest version at one point. Would love seeing a sprint of the series in a different steel.

Now that's homely ! Can you tell more about that coffee "cup" ? Which rock is it made of ? :thinking

The coffee cup is made of solid onyx. It's a small cup - about 1 1/2 oz.

I would love to see more big Spyderco fixed blades in 4V or MagnaCut.

Honestly this steel N690CO is pretty great. Tough for a big knife, not brittle, takes and keeps a good edge. It is a chopper and pry bar. For that use this steel is money.

A lot of Native 5s today. Well since I am carrying Santa's gift today. I feel like I should take the obligatory Christmas Tree photo. And since I have not taken down any decorations yet...

My first Native, so it is going through extensive scientific research. I have cut open 3 boxes, just the tape of course. Cut some packaging that my kids handed me to open, and chopped up some cilantro. So, I think it scores high on the CUTYA ratings.

That's good to know. I've never had a big blade in that steel. Thanks for the info!

I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

I had my Forrester arrive shortly after buying a Scrapyard Dogfather, so I compared them head to head and kept the one I liked best. That ended up being the DF. I really liked the ergonomics on both, but the DF won out for a few reasons.

N690CO isn't bad, but S7 seemed superior for that role. I'd liken N69 to VG10, they've given me pretty similar performance.

I've always thought getting on of the two medium sizes would have fit my collection better, since I prefer the S7 Scrapyard for the 9" slot.

Nice picture. You need to add one of the plastic GITD Delicas to the play set.

I was doing little after Christmas cardboard breakdown this morning. The K390 Endela just might be my new cardboard zapper!
