Question? Do you think H1 or vg10 holds a sharp edge longer than LC200N?
I am busy as heck and don’t have any equipment to sharpen my salt 2 , a week of edc has knocked the edge keenness down hard, doing more sawing then cutting, I need to strop or find
A quick remedy to finish the next week or two
I haven't tried SE LC200N yet, have a bunch of blades in SE H1 and have always loved H1 for SE hard use, like LC200N for PE versions of Salt blades also for the FFG. I think VG10 will keep the best edge of these steels anyway, it's a great alround user steel.
I like to touch the edge up on SE with one of the Spyderco triangular rods from the Sharpmaker, you can use the 'corner sides' for that very well, I usually touch it up with a 'medium' (gray) Sharpmaker rod if I've used it hard to keep it sharp.
