Spyderco Knives Fixed Blade thread
I was looking at the forum and it seems all the threads are focused on folders.
I use my folders more, but my real love is fixed blades.
So let's see them and hear about them. Fixed blades only. Spyderco makes some of the finest fixed blades out there.

I hear ya. In the meantime, a lot of fixed blade discussion can be had at the Mule Team subforum.

Re: Spyderco Knives Fixed Blade thread
All I have so far are the Street Beat, Gayle Bradley Junction, Mules in PD1 and RWL34, Enuff, and a Ronin 2.
I was thinking of getting the new MagnaCut Mule, but I am saving to get a Province before they disappear for good.
While I like the Mules, my focus now is not so much being a test pilot for new steels, but trying a variety of models and designs.
My old hands I prefer fixies with contoured, hand-filling handles over the flat, slab-sided models.

Those are nice Mule scales, did you have someone custom-make them for you?

I have a lot of them I like, such as Swicks, the Aqua Salt & Ronin 2......but my true love is the Street Beat.

Re: Spyderco Knives Fixed Blade thread
I have used the South Fork a lot and it is amazing how good it still looks. I have really only used it on fish and food prep but the steel is tough. It is one of my most used and treasured knives. I have barely used the Sprig. I will say these knives are as good as any custom fixed blade I have ever owned. They might even be better than most custom knives. These are two absolute gems from Spyderco.

Re: Spyderco Knives Fixed Blade thread
I have to give credit to JD Spydo for this pair. He was always saying how great they are...he is right. He has been a fan of these knives going back like 20 years? These are more collectable for me now and do get carried from time to time, but rarely if ever used.

I have owned a couple Street Beat's over the years and you are right. Fantastic design. I think I still have a LW version around somewhere. I got to go look now.vivi wrote: ↑Fri Dec 03, 2021 9:37 pmI have a lot of them I like, such as Swicks, the Aqua Salt & Ronin 2......but my true love is the Street Beat.

Re: Spyderco Knives Fixed Blade thread
I have the Jumpmaster 2 and ARK. Both are serrated. I should get something in plain edge someday, but I also like the Fish Hunter.

Hey Darby,
You've got some really special pieces, and you use them, which is just fine with me,

Very cool post BFK. Love all those fixed blade pictures!
I think this is one of the cooler Spyderco Fixed blades. No collection would be complete with out one.

I was about to say the same thing. Nice to see those knives getting dirty! Didn't know you had some of those Darby, nice collection!
