There’s a great butcher right down the street from my cabin who’ll turn your field dressed buck into anything you want on the cheap.

Great shots Filoso and Vivi! 👍

I'm sure I'm just going through a phase, but my folders have had less pocket time the last month or two. Though I wish the ARK had NBA, a wharncliffe option, and a longer handle, it's been a capable standalone knife.

Hi vivi, honest question:
I know you have the LC200N version as well. Any reason you use your H1 much?

Smoother pivot, less play, I like the colors better and in general I have zero complaints regarding the H1 version. I haven't seen a big difference between the two in terms of edge holding, and while the FFG LC200N version has better geometry it's kind of a moot point with the things I most often cut.

h1 with a hollow grind has a slightly more robust blade, especially toward the tip. depending on what you're cutting, a hollow grind is superior to ffg. and h1 has a toughness that begs to be pushed.
keep your knife sharp and your focus sharper.

I'd even say blade and yes, especially tip are significantly stronger on the H1 version, cause no tapering is going on. A strength that's rarely ever really needed though in my use.

And for me the hollow grind is superior in some tasks, but in other ffg.

Just my 2c of course.

Thanks, Larry! :smlling-eyes

Actually I made the pic on yesterdays gorgeous late autumn morning - but looking at it I can see what you mean by creepy, it really turned out to have that atmosphere a bit :ghost

In fact though the only "creepy" thing out there in those woods was me tossing around my throwing knives... ;) - a bit like this https://youtu.be/NOeW97jb2cs finnish guy, just on a clearly more amateur level than he has - luckily it´s a very remote place, so no onlookers - people tend to associate knife throwing with weird stuff and characters... :winking-tongue

Anyway, creepy knife throwing deep in some creepy wood - highly recommended! Fun skill!
