How’s the line (assuming you’re there)?

You weren’t asking me—but when we got there at 1330, there were about 100 people in line. We passed and went to get beer at the Cannonball Creek Brewery down the road.

Didn't get there. From the sound of it, I am glad I didn't go that direction.

It was really nice to meet you Pokey!

I was number 5 in line; the Spydercrew gave us some swag (back of the bug is signed/engraved by Eric Glesser)...

And besides being able to converse with fellow knife enthusiasts... below are a number of other reasons to go in person!

Toxophilus,

Nice to meet you, too. You made out like a bandit! ;)

This is such a fun event. Lot's of people help others out locating knives they're looking for. I was being followed around the tables by a guy looking for one of the Manix 2 marbled G-10/S90V(?) Sprint Runs. Every time I'd spot one I'd hand it to him for him to toss in his basket. He must have ended up with 6 of them to choose from at the end. Another guy was looking for Ronin's. I found a whole tray of those.

This is my haul. Lot’s of presents for the holidays!

I didn’t feel like fighting the lines and finally showed up 20 minutes to closing. I waited in line about 30 minutes and spent a good bit of time in the store perusing the stacks of knives. There were still a literal ton of very desirable models (sprints and exclusives). There were so many good knives that I ended up passing on the blue anodized spydiechef in favor of spending less money. I’m amazed at the amount of sprints and exclusives that were left over by the time I went through. I ended up with some very excellent models including the new cruwear micarta PM2.

My son and I drove into Denver and cruised the parking lot Friday night. Quite a crowd and we got out and looked around. This morning we got in line around 630 am. Had a father and adult son from Wyoming and a young couple from Denver in line next to us. We started around back in the back lot and made it showroom about 10:30. Very enjoyable wait just talking to our neighbors in line. Anthony in line with us gave my son some custom g10 laser cut scales for a para3 he made himself and a custom set for pm2 to son from Wyoming. Very nice. Spyderco gives out coffee and swag and does Spyderco trivia while you’re waiting. Very cool experience.

I was surprised at the number of Sprint Runs, Exclusives, and high end knives, too. The blue & clear Ti-dized SpydieChefs, Viele Phoenix, Burnt Orange (B.O.) Native Chiefs, B.O. Shamans, B.O. Manix 2 LW's, Tanto PM2's (first and second issue,) and a Paysan. Old Mule Team blades, CruWear, PD1, LC200N, B70P, RWL34, and Elmax.

I had a couple of FrankenDelicas in the basket. The handles are the Blue Line version with a PE S90V blade. Buddafucco correctly pointed out that the Delica w/S90V and blue liners was an Exclusive.

Interesting and fun day.

Incidentally, I got in line at 10:05 am, walked in the lobby at about 12:30 pm, entered the store at 1:30 pm and left at 4:30 pm.

The line has finally started working it’s way down the sidewalk!

And some in line knife sharpening to help pass the time!

Sale was very well done and your employees were extremely pleasant and helpful on what could be a stressful day. Their love of knives definitely showed through. The gifts and courtesy food and drinks were an appreciated touch. My son and I created some very special memories thanks to the Spyderco crew.

Thank You for a quality experience

Perhaps they need to do a spring sale as well. When it's warmer. I'd like that.

The First Responders/Military/Vets & Medical Professionals sale, aka the OpFocus Sale, is usually held in the late spring, but with the way the world is now large gatherings may be restricted.
