Price is a steal (at least the Arctic storm one) - especially compared to the $154 sage 5 M4

I commented at one point that if the previous release (arctic storm) was green, I’d be all over it. So if this jungle release is a PM2, I’m in.

Manix or Native 5 would be a must. I will skip Para 3, and the other Golden models.

I'm pretty sure they'll make them all: toxic storm, purple haze, lava flow, Mars valley and white storm from Fat Carbon
What are the chances they do a different model with a different color fatcarbon, all in M4? Or maybe it's just a satin m4 pm2, since exclusives seem to come in satin and dlc pairs...

Man, I just bought a Swayback. I also started Christmas shopping. Trying to save some funds n case there are any crazy Black Friday knife deals. This drop is tough timing. Really gonna depend on the model. Being SMKW I assume it’s another Para2 or Para3. If they throw me a curve ball then I might bite. Next week is a tough week to try to pry money out of my wallet.

What is the price again? I must be blind, couldn't find it....

Depending on which model it is, I might be interested. This CF just looks so cool....

I was in the SMKW store almost two years ago and the guy working the Spyderco counter was showing me images of Para2s with colorful scales but I thought he said they would be S30V so I wrote them off. Now looking back I think they were these and I believe it was 3 models in blue, green and red. I honestly thought they had come and gone with no fanfare but now I’m thinking these are them. I didn’t know anything about “fat carbon” at the time and thought they were some urban camo pattern G10.
Anyway if I’m remembering correctly (which is always questionable) there will be a set of three Para2s in this vein and the last will be red.

Thanks for that info Burton Knut! Sounds like an awesome lineup. Even with the added salt grains lol

I wouldn't be surprised if this isn't a PM2, I do see them sticking with a flat scale again. This opens up a few different models.

If this is the case and I suspect it is then I can sit back (yawn) and relax. One PM2 in M4 is enough.
I know that often it takes a while to put things together, but thanks Burton.

I hope it's not a Native 5, I can't miss that kind of thing anymore. AND I just bought the Maxamet ! (Wich has my favorite stonewash on a Maxamet knife so far!).
:respect In the collection :respect : Lots of different steels, in lots of different (and same) Spydercos.

I didn’t connect the dots until I saw the teaser posted in this thread, but the images he showed me were all Para2s and the only variation was color. He was so excited because if I recall it was going to be their first Spyderco exclusive.

If it's just going to be another PM2, then SMKW doesn't do itself any favors by withholding any info regarding this release until the last moment.

i wonder if spyderco discloses to the vendors ordering these exclusives... "you know, we have 50 other pm2 variants scheduled for that year...? you might want to choose something else."

my guess is no. and, if they really ordered these a while back, there may not have been a way to know for sure. either way, it doesn't seem to matter. the "weird" exclusives are hanging out for a while and the pm2s all sell out immediately. i'm not sure the disdain that is commonly shared in the knife community over more variations of the same knife is real. sales don't lie.
