True. But I like titanium look more and really do not care about scratches on my EDCs. If prices will go down even more than they currently are, may be I will buy one more. :)

I chose to stonewash and then send it off to be anodized, I think it came out nicely! The ano job was done by Phil Hyun (maprik, a BF custom service provider).

For these who didn't buy original PITS yet, but thinking.
There is quite a good deal on e-bay from authorized dealer $159 shipped. I am really resisting to get one more.

Just be aware, there is indeed a horrible PITS knock-off in existence out there in the world. Easiest way to spot it is the spoon looking clip.
Going back to Caly.

True.
I saw it on e-bay for around $50. Also it had a wrong box and black blade.
The seller I was talking about is known dealer.

Bumping this old PITS thread because it says everything I need to say about my recently acquired used PITS. A wonderful knife, in every way. "King of the slip joints" indeed! I'd even buy another in stainless steel handle of aluminum if that's what it takes to bring it back.

We do have one in-the-works, and Mike is also working on a new design.

FYI, the Brits call the Spyderco version a "SPITS".

Great news indeed! After being so thoroughly impressed with the UKPK serrated Salt my interest in slippies beyond traditionals has been piqued. I am really looking forward to a new PITS.

This is excellent news!

I just hope for a higher wear resistant stainless than the N690. I’d carry mine more than a few times a year if it retained an edge better.

The excellent stainlessness is an excellent feature of it and should get carried forward to the next version.

62 HRC 204p/20CV/M390 would have made it AWESOME!
Magnacut could make it AMAZING!
Have: old S30V Native, HAP40 Endura, ZDP DF2, S110V Manix LW, Cru-wear Para 3, SE H1 DF2, S90V Native 5, K390 Urban, SE Pac Salt, P.I.T.S., XHP Manix LW, SB Caly 3, B70P, PMA11, K03, Kapara, REX 45 Military, 154CM Manix LW, Swick, AEB-L Urban, KC Cruwear Manix, M390 PM2, Mantra 2, CruCarta Shaman, M390 Manix, K390 Police 4, S90V Manix LW, Rex 45 Manix LW, 20CV Manix, Rex 45 Lil’Native, Shaman, C208GP, Cruwear Manix, Cruwear Manix, M4 Chief, Z-max!!!

Oh boy! Saw Sal mention previously that they were considering another run of the PITS, stoked to hear it is moving forward and that there’s another design out there. The PITS is truly one of my favorites and I fully agree with the “King of the slipjoints” title.

Just hoping it's not an exclusive for some obscure dealer in the wild wild west, since slipjoints have now become lucrative and fashionable they look good beside glocks, ar15s and mossberg 500s

Hoping for a better finish on the titanium handle for hiding scratches better, stonewashed?
Since Spyderco has been kinda running away from expensive models lately will this even have titanium handles?
G10? FRN? Steel?
Rhetorical questions...

Depending on the handles finish and availability I might be interested

Gut feeling is just another exclusive in some silly color because that's what Spyderco mostly releases now...

Sounds good, though I must say I am not that surprised. Sal has said many times that he sees the market for non-locking folders growing. The more choices we have, the better! :)

Everything Spyderco releases gives us two choices, take it or leave it. No need to whine.

A double-bombshell for me. Many thanks.

I marvel at my new-to-me anodized PITS (scratched though it is) and wonder what its re-release will bring. Perhaps AEB-L? Pretty please?

And another clever industrial-design from Mike Read? I hope it’s a slippie but that it will be as different from others as was the PITS.

Super excited for this one. My local gun shop had one in the case at one point and I "next time"-d it, but someone beat me too it.
