Same here, but your'ns a whole lot purdier than mine. :winking-tongue Am I correct in assuming you've done a complete regrind?

You are correct. It was taken to ~.009 behind the edge, I'm very happy with it. For the first couple of years I didn't carry it much because it was more obtuse than the design called for, but it slices like a laser now.

One reason I really like the Ikuchi, is because it has the geometry that the Mantra 2 should have come with, in my opinion.

The Air is another that I carry everyday, thin M4 in a dry environment is hard to beat.
So it goes.

I'm jealous. I've taken mine down to 13-14 dps, but your regrind down to .009 BTE has got to be amazing. Still my favorite EDC except when surf fishing. As KEWL as the front flipper is on the Ikuchi, I wouldn't mind if it got changed to a tab flipper for the safety of a finger guard. Either way, I'd get one for sure if it came in a more interesting steel.

Thanks for sharing.

I just can't seem to not take this one with me. The edge holding is phenomenal, even after use and abuse at the workshop, on sites and the rest of the day.

It’s been the GB2 the past week. Sage 1 Maxamet today. Ive been waiting for the GB2 for a while and I’m impressed. It will definitely see a ton of pocket time.

Another day with the 4V Manix. Gave it a couple passes on the browns at 15dps and couple passes on the green compound loaded strop, back to my peak sharpness for the day!

Thanks! It's beautiful out at that lake this time of year. Nestled between two mountains, it's where I do most my trail running.
