Does anyone know what year the first second sale was?
Sal or Kristi might remember. My first was in 2008. There was one year they didn't have the Sale due to a lack of stock, one that I was just too broke to make the trip and last year it went online. I guess I've been to more of them than I thought.

Hopefully there were no changes... I'm landing in Denver in about an hour!
Whoa! That's dedication! A full week early!?! :O
Lol I’m not in line quite yet! :winking-tongue I like to come out early and spend some time enjoying Colorado before lining up.
I heard reports that somebody is already lined up. I’m going to go ahead and go out on a limb and say that’s you?

If you’re thinking about it and haven’t been, you should go. I have a S90 V Manix 2 that the defect was just the scales. There are also deals on new knives and I bought a Schempp Bowie that Mr. Schempp signed on the blade. It’s also good fun standing outside talking to the other knife people in attendance and the chance to meet other forum members. I wish I had been more proactive on that front. Mushroom took my pic with Mr. Schempp and I didn’t take the opportunity to chat with him. The time I went they were drawing for a free knife periodically in the lobby too. A free Spyderco knife or swag would be a cool bonus for the lucky ones there. I forget what I planned on getting but I went way over budget and was very pleased with the experience the camaraderie and the value. Just go!

The weather this year should be pretty mild. Today it’s going to be in the mid 70’s and windy. By Wednesday we’ll have a cold front come in with the temp barely 40. Then, on Saturday the weather should be like a Fall day in the upper 50’s.

No measure-able snow in the forecast, but this is Colorado. ;)

Now for a lecture:

Just a heads-up, be prepared to social distance, and Jefferson County just went to a “vaccine mandate for indoor events of 500 people or more.”

The following is my opinion, (as I step up on my soapbox):

This shouldn’t affect the Seconds Sale right now. Like it or not, from what I’ve seen Spyderco complies with local rules to stay in business. Don’t give the employees a bunch of crap. Flame away if you like. (stepping down from my soapbox)

But first, get off my lawn! :squinting-tongue

I keep my vaccine card in the glovebox of my car, just in case. I also keep a few masks in there. They have always limited the number of people in the store at one time anyway, but if they lower the number more, I'll stand up and cheer.

Gloves, masks, and hand sanitizer, they've got it all.

I hear you about limiting the number of people in the store; it might not be a bad thing. You might be able to move around quicker and look at what you want, fill your basket and get out faster. :thinking

I guess between filling up one's basket and getting out faster there should be one more action - payment. IMHO ;)
