The Sage LW just feels so much more substantial and solid in the hand over the Para 3 LW. I don’t yet have any tool steel Spydercos. I might have to start researching a forced patina because I really like the scales on this one…

Wow, really cool to see the Taiwan knives getting sprints/exclusives. Hope the chaparral gets some love.

Maybe a maple chaparral with 52100 or 1095. Old school meets new school

This is fun, in!

Still hoping to see gp knives do it in REX45 and white like the Para3.

A rather sickly looking green to my eye, but a very attractive package and steel. Prefer screw construction for a tool steel and this has it. A possibility!

I would have preferred a more subtle color, but I like the steel, so I will buy it. The Sage series is one of my favorites...

Been waiting for something like this to be released. :D

The steel is perfect! I'm not sure how I feel about the color of the scales, but honestly, that's just an excuse to pick up a custom set.

I've got a set of black scales from putting micarta scales on my first 5LW so I'm in for one of these for sure, love me some Sage action!

Sage3(s) in either Rex45 or 4V, any scale material / colour would be freakin' awesome!

This is awesome. Love the color, plus very good steel (yes, I would prefer Cruwear or k390, but CPM M4 is fantastic too). I hope I will manage to snatch one ... or two :p

I have wanted a Sage 5 LW for some time, but decided against it. Now this. I will be putting no small amount of effort into picking this one up.

I have some dark blue Rit Dye left over. Maybe a quick splash.

Looks great and I hope the trend of Taichung sprints/exclusives continues.

I'm happy to see M4 alive and well lately! I thought for a while there it was starting to get phased out. Also, great for this model as it seems to have a lot of fans. They definitely picked an interesting color for these LW exclusives though. One of those either people love it or hate it.

I am going to try for my first Sage with this one. A short pearl grey Rit bath will mellow that green if necessary.

I'll be sitting on the sidelines watching how this one goes.

If this happened a short while back I would be all over it. But, I've recently un-collected all my Sage (5 and 1) and most of my compression locks.

A backlock version would pull me out of my sideline seat.

To fuel my excitement, could someone post a Native 5 vs Sage 5 pic, face to face lined up at the ricasso? Kinda like this,

Thanks.
