So, is Urban Meyer going to make it through the whole season with the Jaguars? Doesn't exactly seem to be trending in the right direction.

Was just perusing radtke sports - because I saw a post on fb from Jerry Kramers son, that the man himself #64 of the Packers was signing some balls, helmets and jerseys. Well, I got to looking at other autographed items from other players and, - well, please know that I've never really bought autographed memorabilia before. At any rate, Tom Brady signed merchandise is just insane. His sig is gonna cost at least $3,500
They even had some of him and Gronk that was well over $4k
You could get a Brady mini helmet for $2k
Just thought that was really wild. No one else that I looed up even came close.

This is the most obvious no brainer move and I'll be SHOCKED if it doesn't happen! They were already thin at corner and safety, then lost someone else the other night. Being Tom Brady has to be a pretty freaking good life haha!

Stephon Gilmore was my favorite player the team. :-|| I'm not a fan of this move at all.

He's still one of the best corners in the game right now. Whoever gets him, will be getting a very good player! I tend to agree that he will probably end up in Tompa Bay. They need as much help in their secondary as they can get.

Just heard that Patriots actually found someone to trade for Stephon Gilmore - the Panthers! Their defense has been rolling this year and it just got significantly better.

In exchange for Stephon Gilmore the Patriots receive a 6th round pick in 2023... It's better than releasing him and getting nothing I suppose. I still would have preferred to see him stay with the Patriots.

Wow! That's big new Nick.
Very suprised the Panthers got him.
I really thought Tampa would snatch him.
I reckon the Shermanator is enough....😁
Btw, I'm suprised - I thought Gilmore would worth more than a 2023 6th round pick. Am I wrong?

He is most definitely worth more than that but a few things lead to the decreased return value. They were trying to get a deal done with him before the trade deadline but ultimately couldn't make it work. He didn't want to play on his current contract and the Pats didn't want to pay his asking price. He's still one of the best and they clearly wanted him on the team but unfortunately they couldn't make it work.

I heard some reports that the Pats contacted some of their trusted teams to garner trade interest but his age and health combined with the fact that he wants a new contract kept interest in a trade low. He's 31 and coming off of a season ending injury and didn't want to play on his current contract. I guess at this point their strategy was take anything they could get or release him and get nothing in return.

He's eligible to return to play week 7 and that just happens to be two weeks before they play the Patriots... :grimace

Am I crazy or does Rudolph and Haskins seem like a slightly better choice than starting Big Ben at this point...

I've seen a couple of their games, and yes...Ben looks terrible. I think if they used another tight end or even their full back in there to help block, it could really help. Of course that would take away from another skill player, but they have a great group of receivers. He just needs to get it into their hands in a bit of open field and they can make plays.

From what I understand Ben is injured and is still trying to keep going. Got to be tough to let go and tell yourself it's time to step away. He's taken so many hits, his body is falling apart.

He's almost holding their offense hostage right now. Sucks too because when he comes out, that's probably it for him, his career in the NFL is basically done. He definitely deserves a better send off to his career than sitting on the bench, in my opinion.

At this rate I think he will get hit and it will knock him out of a game and then he will go on IR and be done the rest of the season then retire. I don't see him stepping aside or Tomlin benching him.

I hope they don't treat him like that one season wonder moron Macadoo did with the Giants and Eli...that was NOT the way to handle a franchise player that won 2 Super Bowls. I hope the Steelers watched and learned from that, with their own 2 time champion and sure fire HOFer.

I think even if I weren't a Giants fan, I wouldn't have liked the way the Giants handled that situation a few years ago. I'd hate to see that happen to Ben. He's had one heck of a career.
