I placed an order through optics planet assuming it wouldn’t be in stock (picked up something else I’ve been meaning to order). Turns out they’re shipping the knife and the optic is OOS. Will be my first time experiencing a police, k390 and a se that isn’t H1. Looking forward to this one!

I'm sure it's amazing. I'm just excited to get a non stainless with serrations. It's practically unchartered waters.

i'm curious about this one too. i think i'm going to start with a ladybug to see how i do with non-stainless before i commit to it in such a large blade. i really want to be able to grab one of these though because i know this knife means a lot to sal, especially in this steel, and i find value in that labor of love.

i know this knife means a lot to sal, especially in this steel, and i find value in that labor of love.

This had to be a PITA to get through production, especially the Police 4. We now know that the China factory can't do a full SE Resilience which has 4.20 edge length vs the Police 4's 3.95 which isn't much difference in length so for Seki to do this knife in full SE and in K390 seems pretty impressive to me. Maybe I overestimate how difficult K390 is to grind?

Then again this is the same factory (I'm pretty sure?) that did the full SE ZDP-189 knives so they definitely have experience doing serrations with hard steels like these.
