Bring S110V to Manix 2 XL

#1

Post by bridgetkeble »

Hey guys,

I know this request has been posted several times in the past few years, but it hasn't been brought up in a long time, so I'd like to make an effort to bring it to the surface once more.

Please bring S110V to Manix 2 XL, so we who love large knives (and use them for work) can stop asking.

Last but not least, a word of thank you to the Spyderco team for building and making available some of the best-performing knives that can be had.

Yes, for me any of the usual, most frequently asked for steels would do, s110v, rex45, k390, magnacut, m4, maxamet, s90v and especially any of these, fully serrated.

Yes pls to s110v and any other steel spyderco would like to put in an xl. I bought my first one a couple of months ago and think it's a really great underappreciated knife. Manix xl has become a top 5 favorite in a very short time.

Just carried a Manix XL all last weekend on a deer hunt...definitely underappreciated. My jealous friends all said it handles like a fixed blade. Upgraded steels would be awesome!

It's discontinued. Big difference.

I think this is very true, sadly. Over the last year or so, I’ve contacted a few Spyderco dealers and asked them if they had any plans for an exclusive on the Manix 2 XL. All of them responded pretty much the same way. They don’t think the model is popular enough to warrant an exclusive. It’s too bad. I would definitely buy one in any of the steels that have been mentioned so far. Maybe Spyderco will eventually offer it in a couple more steels as a production model. It’s the same way for any of us who enjoy the Military. The big knives just aren’t as popular these days.

Good possibly that the S110V ship has sailed for a Manix XL . I would be happy just to see it with an upgrade to CPM S45 V . Great knife for those who appreciate a large folder . MG2

K390 would be great too.

I really like the s90v variant, and wish there were some more good XL variants.

I'm loving my S110V Manix 2 for work. Would not be opposed to a larger version!

The manix back lock was discontinued, not the XL. Unless I missed something, which is definitely possible.
