Anyone care to update this thread in regards to how the steel is performing for you?

Specifically:

Ease of sharpening, edge retention, any edge deformation?

I'll report back of course when mine has been put through use.

I think the steel has been used quite a bit nowadays. This thread was created about 5 years ago and I think we've had several models made with it.

Maybe take a look around to see what other custom makers have used it.

I have two fixed blade knives in 52100.

By miles they are my favourite knives for outdoorsing and the garage and garden. Readily sharpenable, tough. So, when I saw the Millitary in 52100, I bought one. Then I bought another one. :) Perfect that thing is. Perfect.

(I'd still like another MIllie. I had a few in the past and sold them for poverty. Oddly enough, I wouldn't mind one in VG10. I really like that stuff still.)

I would like to see a Spyderco drop point of about 3 1/2" in the blade. Made of 1/8" O1.
