Only if it's in laminated CPMSV404HTML with a core of SPY69 bladesteel with an exact RC of 69,69. From that old blind Japanese swordsmith that lives in the mountains above Seki city and handforges his blades on the thighs of 19 y.o. female virgins and quenches his blade in pure dragonblood. And MADE IN AMERICA of course. I's not like we are peasants who can't afford some supersteel.

Re: Sal - YOU are not listening - we want Manix with laser.
I want a Wharncliff Hawkbill Tanto Compression Lock Laser Manix with DLC coated hardware and Magnacut blade and pink G-10 scales !!!
Re: Sal - YOU are not listening - we want Manix with laser.
I can't believe you forgot to mention sharks with Spyderco's with laser beams attached to their heads...
or at least an ill-tempered sea bass with a Spyderco with a laster beam strapped to it's head.
Re: Sal - YOU are not listening - we want Manix with laser.
Well, I guess Sal has always been like this - just never listens.
Perhaps the oldtimers here could tell us how many polls it took before he finally could be talked into inventing the opening hole?
And later the compression lock?
And if he´d just listen to the demands right now: Each Military 2 would come both with a comp.lock AND a linerlock on the same knife so that "the customers" could choose which one to use. It is SO obvious, I mean, two locktypes on one knife, should be an easy task and so very practical...
It is also puzzling that he still does not listen to my command to bring back the Stretch 1, this time with a 2.5mm blade.
I even did a POLL on this (which of course means that now we definitely know what the customers want!) and still I can´t find that knife in any store!! Can you believe it? I mean, why am I even on this forum when the most basic rules of cooperation just get ignored ?!

That music theme makes me think of a comeback of the Tatanka - this time with an included Ukulele. Big handle anyway, just make it hollow and attach some strings...ChrisinHove wrote: ↑Mon Sep 13, 2021 12:09 amIn D Minor. Then I can play The Good, The Bad & The Ugly theme on it.
Perhaps I should do a quick poll on this, so that we know for sure what all the customers out there think about the idea...

Re: Sal - YOU are not listening - we want Manix with laser.
Funny... but this music-thing brought me to an at least half-serious idea:
A mountain/climbing Spydie that has a small alarm whistle included in the handle.
Lets say a linerless, bright orange RockJumper SE with that whistle.
An alarm whistle honestly is something every mountaineer should bring for emergency situations: There is a certain, standardized pattern/rhythm (six signals, either light or sound, per minute) for if one is in real trouble and needs help.

In all seriousness, wasn’t there some talk about them working on an FRN Manix with a built in LED flashlight?
I know the original was supposed to be clear, seems I remember something about a light in a handle, might have been a Jester, because they did end up doing one with a little light lanyard attached to it.

This morning I think that I just want a Spydie that can grind my coffee. Why doesn't Spyderco make a coffee grinder? Coffee grinders have blades and are sharp after all. And why can't I have one yesterday?
Do right always. It will give you satisfaction in life.

A leash lanyard for the Pochi.
A rifle mount for the military.
A built in speaker playing Kraftwerk on the Techno.

Re: Sal - YOU are not listening - we want Manix with laser.
Eric has worked on a Manix 2 with 2 leds built in. Here's the patent; https://patents.google.com/patent/US202 ... ic+GlesserBolster wrote: ↑Sun Sep 12, 2021 6:23 pm
Anything can be improved by mounting a laser on it, this is common knowledge. Manix with laser targeting. Make it happen, Spyderco.
I have several other demands, but will save them for other confrontive threads:
A third clip mounting option: sideways (because sometimes you want the knife horizontal in your pocket).
Scented red FRN handles that smell like strawberries.
A harmonica built into a Shaman handle, I think it's thick enough to handle it.
A blade shaped like a woman's breast, that folds into a handle that looks like a bra.
A Spyderco with bluetooth built in, that allows me to re-program my knife (change blade angles, etc) with my iPhone.
^ All of the above with lasers, of course.
It wouldn't take much to swap one led for a laser.

Man, that´s really amazing and I had no idea!!Peter1960 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 13, 2021 2:48 amYou are late, Sal even makes even the most semi-serious ideas feasible in advance -

For all who don´t want to click the links I´ll quote here: "Outlined in safety orange on the handle's spine is a shrill and attention-pitched survival whistle."
Honestly, a linerless (= lighter) RockJumper in safety orange or another high viz color including such a whistle would be THE ultimate climbing knife!!!

I dunno. The original thread connected to this was poor. Not sure this one's any better
