Not due to a flicking misshap but I've fumbled and dropped a few and let me tell ya, there are few things as terrifying as a razor sharp knife flipping around in the air falling fast towards your bare feet. You'll bust out some dance moves you didn't know you could even do.

unfortunately your pic does not show up, at least not on my screen...
Too bad, cause I bet I am missing something...
/ But do I recall rightly that you were one of those who shared that he actually did "launch" comp.lock knives when closing them?
Try right clicking or long pressing the image and then click preview or open in a new tab. It was painful to watch but worth the viewing!
Thanks a lot, this worked!
Man - painful indeed. This knife is gone for good...

When I first got really into knives I accidentally launched my cold steel 4 max trying to find a way to quickly flick out the blade. It’s a massive 10 ounce knife and the blade cut right through the carpet, padding, and took a chunk of concrete out (recently recarpeted after a flood and was able to check haha). I’m glad I wasn’t hurt and didn’t damage anything valuable.
Skimming through the posts, including my own, I'm a bit surprised that, as far as I could tell, nobody has mentioned the danger this poses if you accidentally 'launch' a knife around other people.

Agreed. I sit at my desk all day long playing with knives as fidget toys, only launched a single knife that wasn’t made to be flicked open. But even with knives that want to be flicked open like a Benchmade 940, if I’m around people I slowly open it. Also keeps “knives are weapons” people from being startled. Lol
I have twice, while pulling wire in a tight space. Turns out if the apprentice takes up the slack on the twine at just the right angle it can half hook your exposed pocket clip and arc out nicely. Fortunately both times it stayed closed…

I thought that was inherent in a thread started by the words "accidentally" "launch" "knife"...
I think this is my third time chiming in on this thread, but I'd still like to hear what happened. Hopefully, Popsickle can give us more of the story next week.
