Lets see...
I EDC an inova x5mt on my belt
*Garrity LED in my glovebox(3 AAA)
*Garrity Bullet(5 stage LED) in my BOB in the trunk(3 AAA and 150-700hrs batt life)
*handfull of the Garrity electric glowsticks in my BOB
*Mag 2AA in my gear bag in the trunk
*cheap 9-LED (3 AAA) in my work bag
*Mag 2 D in my room
*freebie keychain 1AAA in my visor organizer in the car

2 spare cr123a, 8-10 duracell in my BOB, and a about 20 AAA duracell on my desk(4 pack of the ultra, 15-16 left in the strip)

and my next light, I'm thinking of finding the earlight from garrity, online says about 20usd but well see what I can find.

The reason for garrity, they're cheap, pretty **** reliable(I beat on the bullet for a year until inova finally replaced my x5mt), and run on AA and AAA.

inova X5T (for most normal flashlight tasks)
surefire C2 with 120 lumen lamp (for more dramatic flashlight tasks)
inova 24/7 smartbright (mostly for reading... 80+ hours on the red night vision lamp, from one lithium battery. it's got lots of different functions, including some good distress signals...)

all three are coming to zambia with me... along with a big box of batteries to get me started.

I just got an E2L.I wanted something with a little more run time even if I had to give up some brightness.I found that the E2L looks to be very close to the same brightness as the L4 buts only buts out 30 lums, must be something about the optics.
I think I have found my perfect light in the E2L.

I still EDC my old ARC4+, love it. Also use my Arc AAA, and spyderco Photon on my keychain. Surefire L4 for around the house. For my car I have been using the Streamlight twintask (2N), nice light for the money.

10x Dominator

#30

Post by JD Spydo »

Does anyone here in Spyderville own a Surefire 10X Dominator? I am thinking of getting one. But $350 for a flashlight is a big nickel to spend for a toy. I don't mind it if it is really as good as they say it is. OK do any of you have one? Also do any of you have one of their newer digital flashlights. let me know. JD :spyder: O

Rechargable

No Michael that is their "top of the line" rechargable. It retails for about $499 but I have a dealer who is willing to let me have one for $350. It is rated at 500 Lumens. I do know the one you are talking about though. I like the 9an rechargable so much that I have been wanting to get a 10X Dominator to have one with powerful capabilities. As far as I know the 10X Dominator is the most powerful production flashlight in production. ;) :spyder:

I had a T3 for a short time and while nice it was no where near as bright as 60 lum Surefires.

Let's see, I have:

Surefire E1L (twice as many lumens as E1E and bulb doesn't burn out!)
Nuwai QIII
Nuwai 5 Watt
Lumaray FL-6
Jil CR2 DD (Up)
Jil CR2 1.3W
Spyderco Photon
Peak Led Solutions 3-Led Ultra Matterhorn (on same ring with Jester and Photon)
HDS Systems EDC Basic 60
Orb Raw (not very practical with a 12 minute runtime, but very bright for its size)

I EDC my Peak (w/ Photon) and Jil CR2 DD (Up)
The Jil is also amazingly bright for its size and comes with a keyring attachment.

BP

PS - I think it's the Surefire Beast that can be seen from space. It's supposed to be somewhere around 2500 Lumens. They had one at the Blade Show and man does that thing put off some heat!

i've got a couple of g2's. in my opinion best bang for the buck. got them locally for $25 a piece. perfect size, built to last, battery life o.k. for the output it has.
