i thought for sure yours would be selected. i didn't think i'd make it this year since i had to use a cell phone photo after accidentally leaving my gopro in hawaii, but i was surprised to see some nicer images not make it.

one thing i've learned in the last two years of participating and seeing the chosen images... i clearly have no idea what spyderco is looking for. in the end though, it's their brand and their product to showcase, so it's up to them to choose what best portrays what they want. don't take it personally and don't let it get you down.

Oh wow! I am honored to finally have one of my images selected for the awesome Spyderco Calendar. The 2021 is still hanging in my office wall and everytime stress at work takes over, I make it a habit to look at the calendar and look at the pictures of the Spydies of my fellow forumites to unwind and be inspired. Having images of Spydies from all over the world makes me truly appreciate the scope of Sal's influence in the knife industry.

Like what cheddarnut said, I love this place,and to also finally be able to contribute and be published is a feeling that cannot be quite put into words, it feels like I have finally contributed something of repute to this wonderful community. And as someone who entered before but also did not make it, I also know that feeling, but we are what we contribute and we build and maintain this community of ours, so in the end we are all winners and no one loses (except maybe for those who violate the shiny footprints mantra of this forum)... Apologies for being long-winded, but I truly mean every word,having waited for this time!

Once again, thank you Sal, Eric, Kristi, Mike, and the rest of Spyderco for the opportunity, and congratulations to all us forum members who entered! Looking forward to the calendar and next year's contest again!

I'm probably 0 for 6 now but I try to keep in mind that there's some stiff competition and it's all for fun. I'm not real creative and I don't really give it much effort. So I reap what I sow. As much as I'd like to get a pic on the calendar I'm actually just happy for the opportunity to participate.

So don't give up. You never know. Your pic might just get picked
