An easy fix is to flatten the the two ends of the clip that sit in the scale. I use my DMT coarse diamond stone. The clip will sit firmly and won't roll.
I have been struggling with the pocket clip popping off and rotating. Tried your suggestion and flattened part that fits in the slots with a file and the problem is resolved. No rotating at all and so far no more pop offs. Great suggestion.

A suggestion for CQI then...

I’ve bent one clip twice to the point I had to replace it. The second clip decided to roll in the wire grooves and the D hole is stripped now. I love this knife but man it needs a better clip!
Flash Batch request: Flat Iron Salt (CE w/ yellow FRN)
New knife request: Police 4 Salt!!!

I've never had an issue with the wire clips and I have several, including 3 Para 3 LWs. I much prefer the wire clips to the hour glass ones. So I'd hate to see them change it. As mentioned, Lynch makes a nice alternative. Go with that

Up until my second Para3 LW I’ve not had many issues with them either. It just seems the LW is a magnet for door jambs and table corners! I’m gonna try a Lynch clip the next payday.

Yeah I try to steer clear of door jams and table corners but I'll admit I've snagged things a time or two myself. I guess I should consider myself lucky nothing really happened to the knife I was carrying

I replaced my Para 3 LW clip with a LynchNW clip and am really enjoying it. I worry a lot less about my clip loosening now, and can focus on just using the knife.
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

My 20CV LW shipped with a clip screw barrel that was significantly smaller than the hole in the FRN scales, leading to this issue. I love carrying this knife but it's definitely been the most problematic spyderco I've received from the factory.

This makes so much sense - I am currently having trouble re-tightening the clip screw on my knifejoy lw after taking it semi-apart for maintenance, and I thought I had damaged the hole in the FRN somehow.
I have this exact same issue with this exact same model. This is my 5th Para 3 LW (I think it is one of the most perfect combinations of light weight and good serviceable design for a day-to-day EDC that I have ever encountered (i.e. it suits MY tastes)) and this one (knifejoy C223PNBL) is the only one I have this issue with. Glad/Sorry to hear other folks have the same issue.

I think, as an earlier poster mentioned, either the D-Hole was too big, or the clip screw barrel was too small. Grr.

I can't use this until I fix it. (I use the clip to hold on with 4-fingers while I push the lock in with the thumb of my left hand while holding it one-handed to close the knife.)

I'm not sure I'll send it into Spyderco, I'll probably bust it trying to fix it myself :(
