Try being a Swick fan ;) :D

It'll be worth the wait, even if it takes until 2022.

I think it's everything. Supply is down, prices are up. Supply will come back, but prices will stay up--it's the new normal.

Hard to be a Swick fan if I can't get one. :( Still, I wannabe one and looking forward to it. :D They say that patience is a virtue, but when it's compounded by multiple models in the "I Want" queue, it becomes even more difficult..........darn Covid. :(

COVID affected every aspect of life, everywhere. Of course Spyderco was impacted as were their suppliers. We should be thanking them for pushing through this pandemic and releasing as much as they did.

Oh, and we have not seen the end of related price increases attributed to the pandemic and related governmental reactions. We have been cursed with living in "interesting times".

I can empathize with you SWICK fans but I can't even begin to tell you all how hard it's been on a group of us waiting for the Sprint Run of the C-60 Ayoob model. I'm almost certain that with all the confusion and market fluctuations I'm pretty certain it's probably put the C-60 Sprint Run back by at least 3 to 5 months>> and sadly maybe longer :( .

Most of you all don't realize how rough that's been for stalwart fans like me, David, MarkGreenman and about 2 dozen others I could mention on that thread. It's been over 10 years since the last C-60 model was made available. And try buying one of those bad boys on the secondary market. It's almost as bad as trying to find a Cranberry Lum model  .

Oh and by the way I'm a bit of fan of the SWICK model myself. I can't wait till they get one of them and one of the STREETBEAT models in one of the Supersteels  .

I think it's the vast minority of manufacturing in the world that has NOT been impacted by COVID.

Prices can only go as high as the market can bare. It really doesn't matter what a business hope to sell for.
