Right hand, right eye and right foot. I am pretty capable with my left but definitely favor my right.

I wasn’t even thinking about eye dominance. I guess it’s a really good thing my grandfather pushed me to be right handed because I am right eye dominant.

From what I understand when you shoot a gun or a bow if your right eye dominant you should shoot right-handed and if your left eye dominant you should shoot left-handed.

Back in the day my archery shooting partner was a very attractive redheaded young lady. She was right handed and left eye dominant; because of this she shot left-handed. When we shot together we would face each other on the shooting line. This made it quite hard to concentrate. Eventually I asked if we could stand back to back when we shot… my scores got much better, She was quite distracting. :D

The left-handed population in the USA is closer to 20%, partially due to changing demographics and partially due to more widespread acceptance of left-handedness in primary school and daycare. A hugely untapped market until Spyderco came on the scene!

I've been surprised at the number of left-handed co-workers I have. Knowing this, I'd believe the 20% number over the old 10% guesstimate.

I'm right handed, right footed and right eye dominant...but I wear my watch on my right as well. I think that comes from both of my parents being lefties! That's just the way it is.

I'm definitely right-hand dominant. I wouldn't go as far as to say that I'm ambidextrous, but rather.. maybe left-hand competent haha.. I can do a lot of tasks that require some level of dexterity.. ie opening/closing knives.. reasonably well with my left hand, but absolutely cannot write with it for the life of me!

I'm actually pretty surprised by the left-handed representation here, but thinking on it, I guess I do know a fair number of lefties. One of my sisters is left-handed.. 1 out of 5 in my immediate family growing up tracks with the 20% estimate..

Hello everyone this is my first post here.

I wanted to reply on this toppic becouse i do things left and right but not in a ambidextrous way the things i do left i have hard time doing right and viseversa.
Im left hand writing but i use my knife righthand and carry right pocket also other tools like a hammer is use right
Kicking a ball i use my right foot and playing tennis i use my right hand
wenn i eat my soup i have my spoon in my left hand
A nother intresting thing i noticed is that when i use my sharpmaker i use my right hand but wenn i freehand sharpen om my stones i have my knive in my left hand so yea i gues im a bit weird

looks like there is a little bit of disappointment from rightys here about the higher than expected lefty turnout. Keep in mind that this poll is just based on a tiny amount of people involved in a relatively speaking small online community and not a representation of right handers to left handers on a broader level. The numbers here actually don't surprise me that much. Just off of what I see from people posting on this forum or other social media I see a decent amount of left handers in the community.

Some odd trivia Starting on my wife’s side of the family……

Her dad is left handed, mother right.
All the male children are left, females right.
All grandchildren females are left, males right.
All great grandchildren so far females are left, males right.

I wonder how many people worldwide have been forcibly converted from being naturally left-handed to right-handed? In certain cultures, using one's left hand as the primary hand (for example, for eating and other things) is considered disgusting, for reasons I won't go into here.

I'm wondering about this, although I'm naturally right-handed. In past times, even here in the States, it wasn't unheard of for people born lefties to be forcibly converted to right-handedness.
