Rode to a local park this morning. VG10 usually handles my sweat pretty well, but I still wind up wiping away a tiny bit of rust. Glad the Salt line of knives exist.
I like you lock -- very resourceful. It seems there's a fair amount of cyclists on this forum. Last summer me and my buddies took a 3 day camping trip riding our bikes on the GAP and the C&O. Its good fun.

Thanks :) I'm just too cheap to buy a new one.
I'm far from being a "serious" cyclist, but I love riding. I don't recall seeing a cycling thread in off-topic, but we may need one.
Sounds like a good time! I'm way too out of shape for something like that, but I'm working on it.

We already have! It may have just been buried into the second or third page. :)
Not bad for sitting in a sweaty pocket for several hours yesterday. Back in the pocket today.
Guess I'm not the only one :p
Still the "knife mystery" that puzzles me the most: I carry VG10 (but also more rust prone steeis like XHP or even REX45) in "sweaty pockets" or even iwb all the time: No rust.... just does not happe...
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)
Chap iwb in light running shorts again. Such a slim and flat carry, such an amazingly performing blade.
Seen here together with the smallest fixed blade I own, pretty similar in size to the Chap: An Enzo Necker with olive wood scales and leather sheath. Very nice (and also really affordable) knife, but rarely carried and used tbh. If I bring a small Fixed, it's usually the slightly larger White River Backpacker Pro.

Did my second century ride yesterday (100 miles for those who haven't heard of that) and took the Native Salt along for the journey. Good for many hours in a very sweaty pocket.
Because desolate places allow us to breathe. And most people don't even know they're out of breath.
That really is the best looking manix2 ever made. I should have gotten one when I had the chance lol
It really is, I'm surprised it was never all that popular. I bet it if it dropped these days, it would be a bit different. Though I did upgrade the look with the better steel, in my opinion
