price decreases sal?

Is spyderco trying to lower prices by doing away with g-10 and micarta and using frnr, or is frnr no cheaper to produce than g-10 or micarta. And if this is a price decrease tactic to compete with other manufactures I dont think its neccesary. either way i'll buy spydercos no matter how much they go up or down, these knives blow away the competition.

Hi Gazza. FRN is a another way of making handles for knives. (injection molded) The tooling costs are much higher than a slab knife, but the individual knives are less expensive by 40-60% than making a slab model. We generally like to see how a design is received before investing in the tooling costs of a model for FRN.
