Re: can’t get enuff lc200n
I'd certainly go for a clip or leaf blade in LC200N. The Enuff is a cool little knife. I do not currently own one because I have another couple or three knives in the niche. However, LC200N would give me a good reason to buy.

Re: can’t get enuff lc200n
vg10 is currently the only thing holding me back from buying one. i don't hate vg10, but i'd prefer lc200n or something else. we'll see. i may still grab one before this newer version makes it to production just because i like the idea of it.

Re: can’t get enuff lc200n
A lc200n enuff would be a great knife.
It would be good to see a 5” version in lc200n as well. The FFG drop point one would be my choice but a PE sheep’s foot would be great too. Maybe Santa Sal could make a XL edition for us meat handed sausage finger types. :D

Re: can’t get enuff lc200n
A little larger handle would do fine with me. I do not ascribe to the handle to blade ratio nonsense. I want a handle that fits my mitts.Fireman wrote: ↑Wed May 19, 2021 12:55 pmA lc200n enuff would be a great knife.

Re: can’t get enuff lc200n
I remember the grip being very cramped the one time I handled one. If it didn't have that hook at the butt of the handle I could have gotten by with it. I like that hook when the handle is big enough for my hand but it's a deal breaker on smaller handles.

Re: can’t get enuff lc200n
I don't like the hook on any handles. It always impedes my grip. The only knife Spyderco makes that has a rise on the pommel that I only complain minimally about is the Military. Even the Manix handle is made too small for perfect comfort because of that hook. I think they must have dainty hands at Spyderco. :D :D

does anyone have a photo comparing an enuff to other knives? a comparison to the caribbean would be preferable.

Re: can’t get enuff lc200n
I was just browsing some of the H1 fixed blades and saw that the Enuff is listed as being 4mm thick while the Jumpmaster and even the Rock Salt are only 3mm. What was the logic behind making a smaller knife even thicker than a monster chopper like the Rock Salt? I don't even mind 4mm blade stock, I wouldn't mind if my Jumpmaster was 4mm as long as the blade grind is still thin at the edge.

Re: can’t get enuff lc200n
i'm not sure why, but the stubby nature of the enuff is growing in appeal to me every day. every time i look at it, i want one more. i'm sure i'd love it even though my main reason for not carrying the native (much thicker and about the same size) is that the blade is too thick. maybe because it's a fixed blade.Evil D wrote: ↑Fri May 21, 2021 4:02 pmI was just browsing some of the H1 fixed blades and saw that the Enuff is listed as being 4mm thick while the Jumpmaster and even the Rock Salt are only 3mm. The Salt version is probably unbreakable, being H1 and on the short side will limit how much leverage you can put through it. It's probably one of the most bomb proof knives Spyderco makes, I just wish the teeth/blade were ground thinner and I don't know if my hand size would get along with the handle.

Re: can’t get enuff lc200n
yeah. i don't want the salt version of this one. i want the leaf blade. i've been asking for a lc200n leaf blade for a long time, but i'm gonna have to settle for vg10 and hope the thinner and longer version gets that treatment eventually.Evil D wrote: ↑Fri May 21, 2021 5:36 pmladybug93 wrote: ↑Fri May 21, 2021 5:22 pmi'm not sure why, but the stubby nature of the enuff is growing in appeal to me every day. every time i look at it, i want one more. i'm sure i'd love it even though my main reason for not carrying the native (much thicker and about the same size) is that the blade is too thick. maybe because it's a fixed blade.Evil D wrote: ↑Fri May 21, 2021 4:02 pmI was just browsing some of the H1 fixed blades and saw that the Enuff is listed as being 4mm thick while the Jumpmaster and even the Rock Salt are only 3mm. Re: can’t get enuff lc200n
I am with you! I sailed to Hawaii from California and have been living here for the past few years, and hope to sail to the Marshalls and Japan next year, if the borders open. My go-to knives are the Tusk and a David Boye rigging knife made from cobalt and titanium. Since I fell in love with the Tusk, I’ve been buying every LC200N blade I can find (still looking for the Caribbean to return to the dealers). My Spydiechefs are great, but I would kill for an LC200N Kapara! And please, no lock backs. I’m not in love with my Native 5 Salt, even with the LC200N. I much prefer the frame locks from Taichung. Oh, and please—no FRN. Well, ok for a rescue knife in the PFD or BC.ladybug93 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 16, 2020 11:13 pmwell, i live in hawaii, so corrosion resistance is a top priority for me. i carry a pacific salt se in the ocean and when i work out and a native salt pe everywhere else.JMM wrote: ↑Thu Apr 16, 2020 10:35 pm
I have seen quite a bit of praise for this steel, but I've never owned or even used it -- and it's certainly outside my wheelhouse of steel expertise... so aside from it's excellent corrosion-resistance, what is it, in your experience, that makes this steel so neat-o-burrito?
i’m not steel snob or expert, but i’ve enjoyed lc200n as an edc steel. it holds an edge good enough for a standard edc knife and touches up easily. i’d probably put it near s30v, but i can also carry it in the ocean and never worry about it.
some people will say that their stainless steels are corrosion resistant enough. but even those steels, while they may not pit or develop rust spots as long as they are cleaned off, will suffer edge degradation quickly in corrosive environments. lc200n will maintain it’s fine edge in the salt water.
as far as why i want an enuff in lc200n, i’d love an outdoor/camp chore knife that i don’t need to rinse right away after use and that maintains a decent edge. i also happen to really like spyderco’s frn texturing and think it would be amazing in a camp kitchen or for field dressing game.
Re: can’t get enuff lc200n
I would love the current Enuff leaf blade in LC200N in the bright green FRN. For my personal taste and use, the shorter thicker current blade is better than the upcoming longer thinner blade. To me the current Enuff is Spyderco’s answer to the Essee Izula and similar knives of other companies.

Hopefully we can get both, the current version and the more than enuff version, in LC200N.
