New regular production Para 3s - S45VN with Stonewashed blade?

I wonder if anyone has noticed this, but browsing KnifeJoker's site, I came upon this:

It seems that the new Para 3 regular production variants will not only feature S45VN, but a stonewashed finish too. Will the PM2 version also feature this finish?

Now THIS is interesting. Can’t wait to see what new cqi changes sweep the lineup.

Very cool to see, I just saw that the new CS Exclusive Shaman also has the 'Stonewashed' finish just like the OG S30V Shaman, I really like it -- I hope these are a sign of it being utilized more in the future, I think it's a pretty well liked finish...

I purchased an s30v para 3 back in October and it had this finish as well so its not exclusive to the s45vn. I’m not sure exactly when they made this change. It is more of a mirrored stonewash compared to the maxamet stonewash.

Definitely a step in the right direction. If Spyderco can put a pretty decent stonewash on Maxamet, then they should be able to so with basically any steel

The base Para 3 has always had a stonewashed finish.

I do not like stonewashed blades. I hope this isn’t a trend that sweeps through the entire lineup.

I have refinished many satin blades without much hassle. It is definitely easier than refinishing a stonewashed blade.

Hahah, never thought of them that way...now I can't get it out of my head! I have to say I like stonewashed on some of my blades just to break things up a bit. I do like that it easily hides scratches as well.

It is going to be much easier to put a satin finish on a stonewashed blade than the other way around.

I don’t know what to think of stonewashed finishes. I like them on my CRKs, but I prefer satin finishes on my uncoated Spydercos. If they must be used, I want the stonewashed finish to be very smooth, so as to be less prone to corrosion than a rougher stonewashed finish.

But as long as they’re not bead-blasted. I hate bead-blasted finishes. Besides their looks, they pick up rust spots way too easily, IMO.

I must be in the minority with disliking the stonewashed finish. I don't want my blades to be shiny. I like how the S30V Para's currently are.

I would not be preferring stonewash if the the satin on Spyderco blades would actually look satin and not like medium grit belt finish briefly polished over. It is not bad, but not really to be called satin IMO ...

See, I prefer the belt finish. I just very much dislike any blade that is very reflective or shiny.

I've had/have a few Spyderco knives like this. Native 5 LW S35VN and Manix 2 LW BD1 are two that come to mind. I know I have others. I like the finish

Not mine. First run Para 3 (S30V) and first run Para 3 LW (BD1N) do not have this finish

Mine is June 2018 date code, and has a stonewashed finish. It's very close to the finish on my 2018 Maxamet Native, maybe a bit finer. I don't know about the very first run, but the stonewashed base model Para 3 G10 is not a new thing.
