Oooookay, here we go:
8 fixed blades (3 kitchen knives) vs 32 folders
11 sprints or exclusives vs. 27 regular production + 2 one-time production (= the 2 Mules)
24 inhouse designs vs. 16 collaborations
4 China made // 3 from Italy // 9 from Japan // 9 USA made // 14 Taichung Taiwan // 1 Taiwan other
Scales: 1 Aluminium // 1 Micarta // 5 laminated CF // 8 FRN // 9 G10 // 6 Ti // 2 Ti & G10 // 2 Paracord Wrap // 3 Stainless Steel // 2 Polypropylene // 1 Plastic
8 backlocks // 6 CompLock // 6 frame lock // 8 non-locking/slipjoint // 8 n.a. (fixed blade) // 1 CBBL // 1 phantom // 1 liner // 1 button CompLock

That's it. All done on my tablet. Actually quite feasible.
Impressive! You took the breakdown to another level. And I realized I made a couple errors in my classifying. Namely the polypropylene kitchen handles and different slip joints. I’m gonna go back to my paper and re-evaluate. Nice varied collection though! :spyder:

I like taking thematic group photos but I keep them listed in my signature too.
I think I have plenty and that I would enjoy some moderate mods more than buying new ones for now.

Very cool :spyder: I like catergories you picked, discontinued/production and size grouping. Great idea. Thanks for posting a collection shot too. That’s awesome. I will have to get one up too. :spyder:

Yours is one of the signatures I noticed that spawned my thoughts about my own collection and what I have. Like many who have posted already, I never really thought about it. So thanks! :spyder:

I might break it down a bit more but honestly I've got something like:

2-3 dedicated favorite users

~50 that collect dust

~5-6 that may actually be worth something more than I paid for them someday
:D this hit closer to home than I'm comfortable admitting.

It started with simple list in MS word; would have been better as Excel spread sheet. :o But the list is now too big and I’m to lazy to change it.
Besides; :( my collecting days are done.

I just record the model number, name, note on any variation, blade steel, blade length and place of manufacture.

It makes me tired trying to think of all I have, some here, some back home. Maybe I should sell them all and buy something like a house!
You might want to give that some serious thought. (A friend of mine literally sold his car tag collection and bought a house. He had all counties for recent years and all types ever issued for two or three states, including some from the very beginning, made out of leather, porcelain, etc.)

I still don't regard myself as a collector. Collectors keep their stuff well organized and stored neatly. I'm just buying some knives and leaving them lying around in various places :D
K-390 on hand: Mule Team 17, Police 4 G-10, Endela (burlap micarta), Endela backup, Endura (canvas micarta), Straight Stretch (now blade-swapped with G-10 Stretch), Delica Wharncliffe, Dragonfly Wharncliffe, & Dragonfly Wharncliffe shorty mod
Note to self: Less is more.

Nice chart. This is sort of what I plan to do, only with the free Linux program, Libre Office. I swore off of MS Office when they started wanting to charge monthly rent (or yearly or whatever it was).

I definitely fit into that group. I know where every one of my knives is. Those that aren't on my person are only kept in two places: most in the closet (until I can find a good display case) or neatly lined up on a table. Of course, there's always room for improvement: my Swiss Army knives that don't have boxes really should go into rolls.
Regular carrier: zome green Delica 4
Occasional/situational carrier: Dragonfly 2 with Wharncliffe blade
Display only: Manbug with Wharncliffe blade, Dragonfly 2 with Wharncliffe blade, zome green Delica 4
