Two exceptional folders

I'm not much of a lock back fan but I've made an exception for the Manix. Superb knife. Large but extremely ergonomic. Big blade but a great slicer with a strong but sharp point. I do not know of another American made large folder that provides this much quality for such a reasonable price.

The second recent acquisition is a Spyker which is functional and beautiful at the same time. I prefer tip up carry but I understand the visual balance of the knife would have been compromised. This is a great collaboration with Kershaw.

I also had a phase in which I disliked lockbacks, but thanks to the Manix and Native III, I like them plenty again!

Congratulations on your new fione knives. I think lockbacks are somehow underrated nowadays because they became too common. But I like them, because they are relatively simple, easy to maintain, ambidextrous and reliable.
