What Color scales would you like to see on the new MagnaCut sprint and what color do you think will be chosen?

Think we might need to slow down, I don't think any model has been chosen for a sprint yet. (At least not publicly)

There is another thread currently going where people are speculating and making guesses as to which model Spyderco might choose to use Magnacut in first but as far as I know, nothing has been officially announced by Spyderco yet.

IF Spyderco were to create a series of sprints similar to their REX45 series except using Magnacut, I wouldn't mind seeing something like Maroon

The first model is likely going to be a Mule, so any color you choose is what it will have. :)

Of course these things are completely up to Spyderco.

But if I had a vote, I'd say Burgundy too.

Kind of an odd topic to have this early, but I'm also going to say I'd be happy with a burgundy color as well. There's a few reds out there, but burgundy is kind of rare. I'd be happy with a color similar to my Microtech, this color is called champagne.

I'll second burgundy, something regal.

Yellow polished G10. Autumn Gold, actually would be even better, polished.

Said it in the other thread already: Perhaps some very dark red, so it can't be confused with the red of the trainers (for which "real red" is reserved for as far as I know).

Maroon would be nice indeed.

The ivory of the SS sprint would be a color easy to dye for those who don't like it.

Don't know if a "color" like copper can be done (plus still look good) on materials like FRN and G10, but it would be something new.
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

I wonder if metallic colors are possible with FRN? I don't mean make it look like it was bedazzled by a 12 year old but a little sparkle in some gunmetal gray scales would look cool.

Yes, that's about what I thought when suggesting copper in my previous post... in this case the line between "looks cool" and "looks ugly" is thin... ;)

I would hope that Spyderco does not assign a color to Magnacut and instead offers it many colors, much like they do with VG-10 & S30V.

To be honest here I'm totally fine with black. I know that's boring and standard but I really care more about the steel than the color. Has there ever been a steel sprint in plain old black?

It would be interesting to see if it keeps at least some resellers away. I’m sure we could all get behind black if it meant being able to get Magnacut in the model we wanted at retail.

I don’t mind black handles at all. Charcoal grey could be the way to go for this type of all around steel. Close enough to the S30v black but just different enough to satisfy most of us.
