To be honest, once I got my Sharpmaker I found I didn't need it untill the Crossbill. As for being too powerful, it shows where the different grind lines are. In this case it is consistant with the marker, that's why I question the original grind. I'm pretty sure my technique is consistant.
Another Question: any idea how to buff out scratches on ss?
