Not really a slipjoint, but its neodymium magnet makes it act like one.

Smoothest Spydie I own; smoother than my Rock Jumper, smoother than my Sage3.

Its paradise from November-May/June then hurricane season comes - in 2017, lost everything in Irma. All is well now but it took a few years to get back on my feet. Still couldn’t live anywhere else. These quirky islands are just a part of me now. Been down here half my life.

Margaritaville? Is it a real place or just an imaginary name (that may still be true in spirit)?
Anyhow, the name quite instinctively made me think about Isla Margarita. I’ve been in the area several times, but never specifically on Isla Margarita. I have however worked with a Norwegian electrician who lives there, so through his enthusiastic depiction of his life there, I got a good understanding of the laidback island life.
It could very well be that you live on a different place entirely, and I understand if you don’t want to disclose your exact whereabouts, but your pictures sure portray much of the same mood as those stories from my old friend.

“Margaritaville” is a song from Jimmy Buffett in 1977 about the islands where I live. The Florida Keys, a small string of islands between mainland Miami and Cuba with the Gulf of Mexico on one side and the Atlantic Ocean on the other. The song is like you say, an imaginary name that is true in spirit. 🏝 I came down here on vacation in the late 90’s and never left. It was the best thing I ever did.

Good choice! That place look amazing!

I’ve been to mainland Florida and most Islands from St.Lucia down to Grenada and Curacao, but there’s a lot in between I’ve yet to experience. Hope I’ll be able to visit the Keys someday.
