What "Other" is in your pocket???
Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???
I was rather critical of my first CRK, but enjoyed it enough to buy my second.. My third just arrived (a day early.. nice, USPS! :D ) and it's my favorite of all of them! Such an elegantly simple, highly functional design, the quality of which cannot be overstated. Safe to say, I "get it" now..
As amazing as they are, and as hard as they try, CRK's never going to convince me that I need a lanyard on a knife that size though (Although, I have to admit, it makes a pretty functional improvised knife stand..), that nonsense will be coming off as soon as I get home.. :p

Very nice Rick! You know, I’ve never ever liked lanyards on any of my knives. Ever. But I can’t get rid of them on my Sebenzas. No idea why, I even had to upgrade them. I guess I just like em. Haha.

I'm really conflicted on the lanyards. I generally only like them on fixed blades, but they're kinda growing on me on my CRKs. I did take the one off my Zaan, though, and I prefer it without. But the others are staying for now.

That one has tempted me MANY TIMES...but opted not to since I have the micarta scales on the Inkosi...nice score!

Digging the Bugout, will make a great pair to the Sebenza.

There, that’s better!
Josh, Julia - I think the lanyards look good aesthetically (especially your blue one Josh.. really nice!) and I like them on really tiny knives to aid grip, but I don’t find them to serve any real purpose on a larger knife. They just seem to end up annoying me by being in the way when I go to take the knife out of my pocket.. personal preferences thing I guess.. I know a lot of people LOVE them.
Rick- yup. Hahah I was debating pulling the trigger on this one for like two weeks, checking KSF daily, oogling the knife like a stalker.. I finally decided that I just had to get it. I’m glad I did. I really like it.

Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???
Can you make a post about these pliars showing how you use these daily? Ive been thinking about buying it but wondering how many times I need pliars in my pocket.Spydergirl88 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 15, 2021 8:49 amIt could but I carry them in 3 pockets. Those pliers are inexpensive and well built for the size.

I don't regularly edc pliers, I carry them when I need pliers but dont want to carry a leatherman or bigger pliers. I was repairing some tomato cages today and pulling staples out of a fencepost. They cost like $29 and will last a lifetime.SpyderGrill wrote: ↑Thu Apr 15, 2021 9:35 pmCan you make a post about these pliars showing how you use these daily? Yes ok, now if you tend to use these daily, start a Knipex thread and show what you did. Im just curious what a small pair of pliars can do in a pocket. i have large channel locks.Spydergirl88 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 15, 2021 9:55 pmI don't regularly edc pliers, I carry them when I need pliers but dont want to carry a leatherman or bigger pliers. Decided to roll out an unusual combo today. Don't see many fixed blade wharnie and double edge daggers around!

Great stuff. I also recommend the Knipex XS, slightly smaller for EDC, it's a '100'.

This little pair of Snap-On pliers is the perfect EDC pocket pliers, Knipex are still my hands down favorite pliers on the market!

LOL ok I’ll play too. These are actually in my tool bag though, I don’t carry pliers in my pocket. It’s hard to beat a Klein.
