Very nice! I think that's a Harpoon Spanto, right?
Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???
Finally finished up with reprofiling the Inkosi, and wow...what a difference!! :D
Nothing fancy, just ground away the convex grind, gave it an even 17dps per side and finished as I have with the other knives I've worked on lately with the Work Sharp Precision Adjust to really dial it in at the end. It slices like a dream with a 600 grit finish and a few passes on the fine and ultra fine rods at 20dps for a nice and sticky sharp edge. Cuts like a Spyderco now

Glad to hear. Looking forward to hear how it holds up in use compared to before.

Yeah, Hinderer has a fantastic action for a flipper. They really do.

Carothers MC and a spyderco cameo. Fk2 on the hip. Camera shy

Awesome, Rick. I'm planning to do the same to mine, hopefully this week.TkoK83Spy wrote: ↑Sun Apr 04, 2021 4:11 pmFinally finished up with reprofiling the Inkosi, and wow...what a difference!! :D

What Herman do you have? I'd love to own one!

Same here! I'll likely throw it in the pocket for a few days this week and see how it does and report back for anybody that would be interested.

I don’t like to own “safe queens”, but the Herman is too nice to use. The Hinderer, on the other hand, just screams hard use to me.

Awesome! That's the way they should come from factory. I don't understand why they would pay such amazing attention to detail to everything else only to put a half-baked edge on it. :confused:TkoK83Spy wrote: ↑Sun Apr 04, 2021 4:11 pmFinally finished up with reprofiling the Inkosi, and wow...what a difference!! :D

Every CRK knife should come hair-whittling sharp, from factory. That would be more in keeping with their company image of flawless perfection and utility.

I agree 100%!! For the price of these knives, perfection is expected. I do like this knife enough that hogging off all that steel on my own was worth it though. That grind was the only thing I disliked. Can't wait to see how it performs now!The Meat man wrote: ↑Mon Apr 05, 2021 6:51 pmAwesome! That's the way they should come from factory.
