I'm down and while the VG10 is always good, I'd really like to see this in a Hawkbill LC200N version. Though a Hawkbill in any steel would do.
I cringe every time I hear hawkbill and ladybug together. The only knife I’ve ever had open up in the pocket and I have a nice scar to show for it.

The gap between the handle and edge with the blade in the closed position is a poor compromise for a knife designed to be carried in the pocket.

I know there are a lot of hawkbill fans, but shoehorning a blade shape into a handle not designed for it is not always a good thing.
I don't think there's an issue fitting a Hawkbill blade into the handle. Mine works perfectly, I'd just prefer something other than Yellow and H1:

VG10 would work for me as well if it keeps costs down.

I would buy several as well, for myself and as gifts. It is a really clever idea but I have to agree with CG that DLT already has it set up with their zome/20cv platform.

i got bit by my hawkbill the other day. i was playing around with it at work and not really paying attention when that bias to close caught me sleeping. i embedded the tip right in the meat of my palm. no big deal, but i stopped playing around with it. the lb isn't a fidget knife. it's too small.

i'm surprised it opened in your pocket, blnd. lots of people on this forum swear by the backlock and it's closed bias being the only safe design for a knife.
keep your knife sharp and your focus sharper.

20cv seems unnecessary on such a small knife, but i'd buy it anyway. personally, i'd prefer se, so i'd like h1. i'd also prefer to keep it as cheap as possible. i don't want to spend more for some special steel that holds an edge forever. i would though, if this came to be. i'll buy it however it comes because the spyderco ladybug is special to me.

My only issue with the hawkbill is it doesn't slice for crap, really none of the hollow/saber grinds do even with how thin the blade stock is. That's why I've always carried the ZDP version, being FFG it's a pocket scalpel.

I believe my keys wedged into the gap between the blade and handle. I don’t think it’s a back lock issue.

If they made an LC200N Ladybug Ladybug SE Hawkbill, I'd have to have one...

FFG?

My ZDP Ladybug opened on me carried on my keys. I recommend if you carry on your keys you should snug the pivot down more than you usually would so it's kinda tight to open and close. I split my pinky open good on that one.

Cool idea, I'm honestly surprised it hasn't happened yet! The Ladybug seems like the perfect platform for the red zome. Typically, I prefer the Manbug because it fits in my grip better.. but I would buy a ladybug Ladybug in a heartbeat. I'd be ok with any steel, but in the interest of affordability, I think VG10 is sufficient. Voted accordingly..
