Those lines look like die/tooling lines from processing powdered metal. I've never seen a grinding belt or bonded wheel leave dead straight lines like that in the finish. Interesting.

Really excellent photography Spoonrobot!

It's just grind lines. No defects, no carbide tearout or anything to worry about. Use it often and enjoy a knife meant to perform and not just look pretty.

Thanks, I use a cheap pocket microscope that has a clip on attachment for smartphones. Makes taking photos easy and works even better looking through it with your eyes to check edges and stuff.
