This is what I use for knives and handguns, I paid like $11 for it a couple years ago...no complaints and it cleans up easy.

I use one like that for my handguns also. Has been really great for that. Except now it has a permanent stench of Hoppes No. 9 :D Which isn't a bad thing as I've grown quite found of that smell.

I trimmed the bottom shorter a bit. I love that the compartments are magnetic, they hold screws well enough. It has a magnetic strip glued to the back. Cheap and effective and just slightly more fancy than a micro fiber towel.

I love it. :)

I think I may have to try to build one. I've been trying to improve my leather skills (for sheath making) and that looks like a good project to bring my (non leather) sewing skills into play.
