Hello all! New to the forum ,though I've been lurking for a while. I have a few benchmades which I am a fan of,but for a person in my position (new homeowner) the spyderco delica/endura lightweights can't be beat.I had an old style delica full serrated that I used from high school through college.I still have it but lets just say it's worn and a plain edge now.(i'll try to send some pics later,it's unbelievable)About 2 years ago I bought a house in the farm country, and with it a new style delica 50/50 edge ,which I find more useful than full serr.Being my house is old (one room is about 100years old)It's definitely a fixer upper.I can't tell you how many different things I used my knife for fixing and repairing my house.from cutting overgrown vegetation, to cutting black vesqueen to trimming drywall ,the list goes on and on.Sadly I was doing some minor landscaping work at the edge of the farmfield at the back of my yard and lost my 2 year old delica only to have it plowed over by the farmer who owns the field days later. I've been using whatever to get me by ,but today I ordered a brand new delica 50/50 again at the modest price of $38.97.I guess my old one was trashed anyway considering my hasty serration sharpening. Maybe I'll order a sharpmaker to keep my knife in peak condition. What do you folks think?

Welcome to the forum. Sharpmaker does make it easier on the serrations.
First they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not stand up, because I was not a Trade Unionist.
