BHQ Exclusive Tanto PM2 - M4/Jade

I had never tried to buy a Sprint. I had one in my cart. But my browser has NoScript and by the time that I saw that the page was not loading due to NoScript, they were all gone.

Sort of exciting. Sort of a let down. So I went and bought a Spartan Harsey Dagger. :o

Welcome to the world of flippers. It's pretty sick that this happens. I always say not to buy the marked up knives as they would have to lower prices to move them sooner or later, unless they just want to sit on them indefinitely. But people do buy them, unfortunately.

If there's a buck to be made people will find a way to make it.

Got my order in at about 25 mins from launch. Had to edit cart as it showed 2 of each. Nothing special, just retry and refresh. When I added to cart, it never loaded to current cart. After trying the dlc and satin page, hit cart and they were there. First checkout submission timed out, second went through on retry.

I wonder if a website gets slower when everyone is trying to load the same two pages, dlc and satin. And/or checkout and carts pages as well. Or is it the load on the domain/website?

Mr. Eric Glesser mentioned on BladeHQ spyderco 2021 youtube video that the Tanto shaped blade is very popular. I hope and think Spyderco will continue with more Tanto releases in the future.

Are the Tanto PM2s just BHQ exclusives or does Spyderco plan on eventually adding them to their lineup?

Yes, Bhq exclusives only. Well at least for now. Just got to keep trying. I'm 2 for 2 on both releases.

Well, pleasantly surprised to come home from a half-day at work to find this in the mailbox:

That's awesome! Mine just shipped according to BHQ. They sure do take their time with shipping orders. Far cry from DLT.

Looking back at the USPS Tracking info mine did come from VA. The shipping label shows the UT address, though.

Good heavens WHY? VA has slipped into the grasp of the DC busybodies swarming into the VA suburbs away from DC. One would think they would figure out that what they’re fleeing is the direct result of their own voting habits... but one would be wrong.

Mine showed up today, was originally scheduled to arrive Friday. The shipping label says it came from Utah, but the email said VA so I dunno.

I have to say, I'm really impressed with the grind on this knife. It's perfectly symmetrical, and with as many different grinds/planes as there are that's not easy.

I might be wrong, but I think this tanto version is a sign of what might come into the future, a PM2 with a sturdier blade and a stronger tip (which would be my dream).

Tracking on Monday had eta of Friday. Received Wednesday evening. Very nice! I had to hold the scales to the light since the angles make it looks like the scales can rub the blade, which is not rubbing. There is a medium moisture absorbing packet and paper insert warning about possible corrosion and more maintenance required due to the blade type.

Anyone know how long those moisture absorbing packets last?
