What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
Full pockets today, totally impractical. The Shaman gets most of the work though

I really like your sharpening set up. Would really appreciate it if you would post more full sized pic from different angles and a tutorial. Mucho thanks.

Thanks :) I'll try to put something together in the next couple days. It's actually a really simple set up.Holland wrote: I wouldnt mind some more pics of that set up, looks like a great idea!

Received mine today...
I couldn’t resist for $109 after tax.
I like it a lot but the lock is super difficult to actuate. I have medium/large size hands with skinny fingers and I don’t see how anyone with extra large hands and fingers could even operate it.
It’s not a big deal for me though, it’s smaller so it will be a backup or a third blade anyway and won’t be used as often.

Nice! Yeah, I knew I'd kick myself if I missed out on one for the price they're going for.
I find the lock difficult to access as well. To make it much easier, I put a piece of gutted paracord through the hole in front of the ceramic ball and tied a knot on each side, giving my thumb and index finger something to grip while pulling the lock back.
Before trying that, what seemed to work best for me was just using my thumb nail to pull back the ball (only on one side of the handle).
Glad I pulled the trigger. The Q Ball is a great design, but I'm still hoping to someday see a wharncliffe Native. :)

Put the P3 back in my pocket after a stupidly simple fix for the blade/backspacer issue.
VG10 takes a good coarse edge :D

The sharpening device looks both simple and pretty ingenious!! :)
Whatever angle one wants can be set up and easily measured with just a triangle ruler where the two wood boards meet...
