Picked up this guy yesterday. Been wanting a Police for a while but didn't want a SS or FRN version.
Needs some TLC and a sharpening.
Doesn't look like I can disassemble it though. Would WD40, a soak, some air and pivot lube be enough ?
Police 3's can be disassembled. Check the back side ;)

Yeah I know it has Torx screws ^^ but I wasn't sure it'd be as easy as the Millie and figured I'd ask here before taking any risks.

Well, it's all stripped down now. I'm just wondering if this little washer on the pivot screw is stock ?
My P3 has some 'crunch' coming from the pivot when opening it. I'm hoping the cleanup will make it go away.

Yep, Police 3 and 4 both use a washer on the back side of the pivot screw.

A cleaning ought to fix it up. Check the lockback contact area for debris.

I'm letting it all soak in vinegar for now. I'll scrub, oil, lube and put everything back together in a couple of hours. Your P4 thread was very informative btw, thanks ! :)

No, that would be not my thing... ;)
It is just the lighting and the snow I guess that add that blue-ish tone.

Glad you found it useful. The P3 is pretty straight forward to assemble, but if you run into any snags feel free to pm me.

Switching from pakkawood to FRN for work.

Full clean-up finished, just went through a basic extra coarse sharpening like my Millie. Still not 100% on keeping pointy tips but much smoother and cleaner than a few hours ago. I think I'm going to like this one a lot.

HAP40 Wharncliffe Delica with Ti scales and Razor edge knives Ti pocket clip.

The Flytanium scales look great. The open close action is a little stiffer than the frn was, but the lock up is super solid. This is my second pocket clip from REK, it costs nearly as much as the scales  but in defense of the price, it's easily the best performing pocket clip I've used. In and out of the pocket smoothly and effortlessly no snags, and it's a great alternative to all the deep carry aftermarket Ti clips out there. The knife looks super clean, very happy with the make over.
