1985, or 86? Buddy of mine had a Vmax, the only thing I can compare it to is a 1970 Big Block LS6 Chevelle! Torque monster, bike was scary violent, it would do a burnout for a half a mile.....seriously! And this bike was perfect for this guy, he had a 5 gallon bucket of B***s! It took a special kind of idiot to get the full potential out of a Vmax!

At that time I had a Kawasaki GPZ 750 Turbo, it was stupid fast, especially up in the RPM’s when that Turbo was really spooled up and making boost.....but, it wasn’t a Vmax! The Vmax was smooth and quite and just had tire shredding Torque, that V4 just felt different!

Thanks for bringing back a fun memory, feel fortunate I’m still alive!

My dad used to have a 1970 GTX with a 440 with the "air grabber" hood, Plum Crazy Purple with a white interior. He said he sold it for money to build my parents first house, and in anticipation of me coming along in the future. He was actually tempted a few years prior to make a trade for a Challenger with some cash (this was in 1979 or so) but my mom told him it wasn't happening haha! He still misses that GTX though to this day. Makes me feel guilty, though it's not my fault I was brought into this world :p

I've always said if I ever win one of the big lottery jackpots I'd build a nice house on some property and I'd have to have a 10 car garage to house my car collection. There's no way I could have just one. I can't say exactly what that collection would include but there'd be a Porsche 911 (Carrera 4S?), Ferrari, McLaren, Audi R8, Corvette, and probably a few muscle cars from the late 60's. I'd need a nice truck to pull the fishing boat and some type of sedan for road trips with my girl.

There's a lot of money (not me) in the town I live in and I'm amazed at some of the exotics I see driving around. Here I am thrilled with VW GTI I drive. It's fun and plenty fast for me but I feel like I'm driving a kiddie car when I pull up next to a McLaren or Lambo at a stop light lol

If I had unlimited money I would only need two cars.

1st would be the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera when I wanted to drive myself as it's a grand touring car.

A VERY fast Grand Touring car however.

The 2nd would be a Limo of some sort.

I would likely just drive the Aston Martin until I got bored with it, a few years and get something else.

I believe a nice house in a really good location and a nice car would be enough for me.

My problem is I like variety and I have trouble with settling on one just one of anything I like (guns, knives, etc). I could easily have the same issue with nice cars. The scenario I described above was a crazy money dream thing and would obviously be adjusted depending on the amount of craziness.

I just spent 10 minutes trying to decide which knife I want in my pocket tomorrow. I finally settled on the Southard haha
