All your base are ours!
I know man. :o I get excited sometimes and can’t get the words together. I’m just really taken back by this knife and don’t know exactly how to describe it.
Hey no worries, excitement is good! I was just poking at the name of the knife a little bit. I’d not heard of it before. It’s appearance is... striking.

Have you tried Vivis very-low-grit sharpening approach towards PE? He feels this somewhat combines the pros of SE and PE concerning cutting performance, and while for me SE still is superior in the end, I have to say that I am surprised how well low-grit-sharpened PE works indeed, especially in things like cutting a plastic bottle in half or the like.
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

Battlestation
Interesting piece for sure. Looks like it would be awkward in hand and to use, but definitely something different.
I 100% agree that it looks uncomfortable. That’s what put me off for so many years. But I swear it isn’t. It melts into your hand and stays there. No sharp edges whatsoever. No hot spots. The choil jimping is different. The bigger less aggressive humps feel better to me. Same size as a Native. Rivals any of my Taichungs fit/finish too. I was thinking of writing a review, but it’s such an old model, I’m not sure it would matter.

Well, I should have guessed that a man like Dialex, who also designed the very ergonomic looking Junior, would not create an uncomfortable handle, despite it really looks like that on the Battlestation.

I haven't gone quite as low grit as Vivi has, but I generally finish my PEs on a DMT coarse plate. I much prefer a coarser edge for PE. I may try to go lower grit the next time I sharpen.

I always have other small SE blades with me, but I'm trying out the Resilience as my primary cutter for a little while. After breaking down some cardboard boxes today, I think I'll try to thin it out a bit. Maybe try 10dps like on my HAP40 Endura. :)

Nice! Watu anyway, but also that particular version of the small Sebenza!
And: Nice composition and pic again!

Yes, almost sad that it can´t become a calendar pic because of the "stranger" joining the Spyderco in it.. ;)

The previous owner said they paid someone else to do it. Regardless they did do a nice job. Even where the ground the bottom of the liner is polished to match the rest. I only bought this one with the cutout because the price was great and it popped up for sale. I found a brand new unmodified one for the same price around the same time. So I have that one too. I like the modified user so much that I've never actually used the unmodified one.

That’s cool. Thanks for the reply. I really like that the liner remains proud of the scale there too. Really does look factory. :spyder:
