Perhaps another good choice and alternative to the Para 3 (basically same size, same lock...) would be a Sage 5 LW variant - ?!
Imho a pretty perfect design in that size category and a decent platform for a forum knife.

And maybe in SE?!
Top three going by pocket-time (update October 25):
- EDC: Endela SE (K390). Endela SE (VG10), Manix 2 LW (REX45)
- Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 2 SE (LC200N), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1)

I voted for an old knife. Of course, this opens another difficult decision, which model?

Another chaos thread where everyone asks for stuff that isn't going to happen. To my knowledge, every previous Forum knife has been an iteration of an existing model using materials that are already "in-stock" at whichever factory is producing the model. The color or combination of features are unique and so is the etching, of course.
I still agree with Doc Dan on the UKPK, but I did not put in a vote here.

I'm probably the only one but I like when Spyderco chooses....
You're not the only one Nick!

Basically, I'd like to see something cool, unique, and unexpected. Also, as a "Forum Knife" I believe it should be labeled as such.
It definitely needs to be labelled as a Spyderco Forum Knife. I know some don't like extra printing on the blade but I think it needs to be there

Personally, Siren in Rex 45, Teal scales, yellow liners.

Though if it has a lock and an interesting steel, I’ll take anything really.

Spyderco can choose. I will buy it if I like it. I didn't like the inlay on the last one so I didn't buy it.

I want a design that I'd actually carry and use in an interesting steel and / or handle material.

Some possibilities that fall under that criteria:

- Micarta scaled straight spine stretch
- Spy27 Military
- Rex45 Street Beat
- LC200N Native Chief
- 51200 Manix XL

I want a liner lock, CBBL or BBL (no more backlock please), SPY27 blade, ground very thin behind the edge. A CBBL/BBL mini Manix flash batch would be cool. We really need more CBBL and BBL in our lives.

This thread is not about agreeing, this is about tallying up interests. Since this idea is a forum knife, we have all the market research we need right here if we participate. Sal can take the info and gauge demand.

3 out of 5 ain't bad. Great ideas Vivi! :D Your first idea is my favorite. I really love the Straight Spine Stretch and I love Micarta. A fun steel like AEB-L, Cruwear, K390, 52100, or SPY27 would work.

I don't know...I've seen a number of these "Forum Knife" polls over the years, and nothing has ever come out of them.

Oh, well in that case...

How about a Sheepsfoot Shaman in DLC coated S45VN with British Racing Green G10 scales?

Fixed blade
Small EDC
G10 one red scale one black scale
M4 would be nice but I’m not fussed with steel anymore. (So many good ones nowadays)

Same as every time this is asked.

Think it should be affordable and available to any forum member age 18 or older, anywhere in the world. Having it made in the USA would be a definite plus because doing so eliminates, or at least minimizes, the "minimum order quantity" and lead time issues inherent with ordering from contractors. Which is why I was dead serious when I suggested the blunt tipped, PE, Z-Cut.

Did anyone request an S90v PM2 with an inlay? Not sure I understand the point of all of these polls.

I'd like to think that the team reads these polls and considers the desires of the forum members, but maybe they don't based on previous models? I wholeheartedly think that it only make sense that the forum knife be conceived by and agreed upon by the forum members themselves via a series of polls overseen by senior forum member.

I think these are fun to read what the more veteran members prefer, as opposed to someone newer like me. Backlock and Spy27 with etch or inlay would be my vote.
