Yeah really I wasn't mashing refresh, but it went from normal immediate load speed to connection timeout in under a minute. I know they're battling bots best they can, but I think some bots are still getting through. Really don't know though. Only ebay will tell. :rolleyes:

That went by...inhumanly fast. I had it in my cart and when I was about to complete the payment, next page says Out of stock.

I really think the bots are grabbing the primo knives. Shaman & Spydiechief gone in seconds.

I'm not sure if it's bots, or just limited quantities. Certain models definitely seem to have had hundreds of seconds, and a few they've even updated several rounds. The PM2 Maxamet was available at start, and seemed like 2-3 times was re-added in a drop. So they obviously held back some inventory there and still had a lot.

Something like the Rex 45 Shaman... they could have had a dozen of those as seconds. Who knows. Wouldn't surprise me that they sold out in under a minute just from regular purchasers if the quantity was really low.

That's the kind of attitude to have! It's such a wild crap shoot, nothing can be expected. If you happen to luck out, consider it lucky and always think of these past few days when you look at it haha!

Just remember, the vast majority of us wouldn't have even had a chance at 2nds so unless you planning on showing up in person I'd say you're out nothing.

This sums it up perfectly for me.. I really don't understand all of the complaining.

I managed to score a Military yesterday and consider myself lucky for it. If I can get more, great. Otherwise.. see highlighted. :)

I know a lot of folks are looking for knives in exotic steels but don't sleep on the regular-production S30v stuff if you are looking to get something to use. $53 for a Para 2 for a user is unreal, not to mention the pricing on the Black Manix 2! Keep a 600 grit edge on that S30v and it will cut forever. All of the Golden staple models are priced aggressively and I am feeling very grateful that Sal, Eric, and co. decided to make this an online affair so all of us can get a chance to buy something!

My best approach:
1) Log into my account beforehand.
2) Add the seconds sale page as a bookmark.
3) Open product links as a new tab.
4) Buy whichever knives have tabs that load.

As soon as new items are dropped I have 1 or 2 in cart and try checking out within a minute or so. Then I just get forced to try and check out over and over, reloading and re-entering info, until the item goes out of stock.
This is the frustrating part. I dont care that I didnt get the item. I care that it takes so much of my time for me not to get it.

I'm probably out tomorrow. My best chances were business hours during the week while I am in my home office away from the family. Probably heading to a Christmas Tree farm tomorrow. I struck out today. 2 attempts, zero success. Was going for the sun and moon chap and a g10 native. Neither made it to check out in time. Frustrating and certainly less fun than the real sale.
