I was unable to sign into my account using my forum information. However, I successfully made a new account with my alt email :cool:

I was able to create an account last night by using my iPhone. I was able to log in right away. I did use special characters in the password. I did have to use a different email address other than the one used for my Op Focus account. It even mentions not to reuse an email account in the instructions.

And now I’m locked out...I called tech support and left them a message. Here’s hoping someone will call me back.

Edit: So how is my account locked for the next 5 hours when according to the site I don’t actually have an account? I’ve tried Safari, Chrome, mobile safari and mobile chrome. I thought maybe it was a bad idea to use the same username as the forum, so I tried a different username and a different email. Sorry for the rant, I’m just feeling left out. Enjoy the sale everyone and thank you spyderco for doing it online, even with the challenges

I ended up making a new account after the password reset said my username did not exist...

Well guys,

Now I'm locked out LOL. I successfully signed into my new account, but on my second attempt to sign in to confirm locked my account. I was looking forward to the online sale. I'm thankful Spyderco is doing this for a few days, and I hope I can participate.

Your forum account and the e-com account can be different passwords. Google and Apple products cant keep the passwords straight for "remember me" settings.

Thank the internet gods, and of course Kristi and the Spyderco crew for all of their hard work! I've got an account and I can participate!

I setup my account again, rather than trying to recover the old ones I created and I'm now logged in and it's working. I think whatever Kristi did to "unlock" the accounts allowed me to create one.

Agreed. Instead people who have been here 10-20 years are competing with people planning to flip on ebay.

I finally got on but kept getting errors when I'd try to add something to my cart. I guess I'll try again later. Not the end of the world if I don't end up getting something
